EDIT : this looks like it might be a hoax, and normally I'd just trash the thread but that awful pic of lars makes it worth leaving it up.

doubt it, but their webmaster seems to be a former fan or have a huge dislike for them.

its a hoax that was started on fark.com, if you look at the "metallica" press release, it's hosted at <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www1.scoopthis.com/411/met_uf/stc_met_uf.htm">http://www1.scoopthis.com/411/met_uf/stc_met_uf.htm</a><!-- m --> . The author of the "release" also took credit for it and confirmed that it was a hoax.
I can't believe the guys at rf.net jumped to that conclusion so quickly, since it was a publicity stunt by the band thats being "sued". :17:

i fthis were true then i would sue gomez because i have a penis and he makes all penises look by bad by being sucha dick
I love him. He's like those happy old people who become known for sitting by the side of a busy street and waving to passing cars. People drive by regularly and beep just to see him and get him to wave to them.
