benitez' first yankee appearance.

pure magic. must have been the losing atmosphere at shea that was fucking him up. he looked great at yankee stadium.
I love him. He's like those happy old people who become known for sitting by the side of a busy street and waving to passing cars. People drive by regularly and beep just to see him and get him to wave to them.

That's just like our Arpi... except he doesn't wave or anything. He just says mean things to you.

yup.y the way. 2, count them 2 beautiful innings by benitez. he obviously didnt want to make the rest of the pathetic mets feel any worse by performing well.

the 2 strippers are back at yankee Stadium, Mystique and Aura. Benitez ooks great so far. And how about the class of the Yankees fans giving him a standing ovation.

do the words Benitez and lights out go together? It was only cleveland, I want to see him do this in october or against Boston, or a close game. I'm still skeptical.

Although the thought of all Mets fans throwing the remote at the TV after seeing not ONE but TWO scoreless innings is amusing. :11:

Eh, I'll get excited when this guy gives this performance against an actual team.

I'm shocked they gave away Danny Tartabull's #. A TRAVESTY!!!!!!!! :29:

I'm still gonna have a real hard time rooting for him, seeing as how i hated him with a firey passion since the tino incident in 1998.
I will touch the sun or I will die trying.

this was a huge game because it was his first as a yankee in yankee stadium with fans ready to boo mercislessly. When he left he got a standing ovation.

The major pressure comes next weekend in fenway.
