#1
so i downloaded this: [md]lotr-return of the king-ts-logistic.divx_xtech

how do i now make it a watchable movie. when i try to play it in media player its just a blank screen.
i have downloaded some other movies and the same thing happens.

i tried reading the other movie thread in this forum and had no comprehension
where should i go for movies? what do i need to know?
i tried newsgroups but there is nothing there.
I love him. He's like those happy old people who become known for sitting by the side of a busy street and waving to passing cars. People drive by regularly and beep just to see him and get him to wave to them.

That's just like our Arpi... except he doesn't wave or anything. He just says mean things to you.

go here http:///www.videolan.org/vlc

download the VLC Player

Use that to view the movie - it should work.

You should also use VLC to play ALL of your movie files, since it pretty much plays everything.

I was gonna tell him he's in for a chore if he can't even watch a movie... converting divx to mpeg1 isn't that hard, but c'mon he couldn't even play the damn thing.

because it's a simple yet eefective media player - and like I said, it plays pretty much anything I throw at it.

It also plays .iso files - no need to burn it to a CD, which comes in very handy.

I can appreciate that, but I prefer a bit more control over my movies.

Also, check out ISO Buster so you can stop burning VCDs.

It pauses, fast forwards, rewinds, gives me screen shots, etc. - I'm not sure how much more power you need over your movies, but to each his own.

I use Isobuster, bot sometimes it works, other times I get errors - I've uninstalled/reinstalled it and used different versions, but its always touch and go.
