s video - somebody help me

so, my tv has svideo, my graphics card has svideo, i've hooked them together with an s video cable. but nothing happens. obviously i have to change a setting somewhere or something. somebody please give me instructions on how to make this work, thanks.

also, can i record tv onto my computer?

depends on the card, you might have to go into the video properties and enable the video-out feature on your card.

you can record tv on your computer if your vid card has an input (the s-vid is usually output), like a coax port or something.

My control panel > Display > Settings

I don't know if you can record, though. I think it's mostly for using your computers DVD to display on the TV.

j/king... what goat said. S-vid in or out? Right click desktop, go properties, go settings tab, go advanced and screw around in there.
