I saw this article on the top ten greatest riffs of all time and like all lists like this, it could probably stand to have a little editing done.
Here's what they said were the best of all time:
1 - Iron Man
Black Sabbath
2 - Smoke on the Water
Deep Purple
3 - Purple Haze
Jimi Hendrix
4 - Whole Lotta Love
Led Zeppelin
5 - (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction
The Rolling Stones
6 - Sunshine of Your Love
Cream
7 - Walk This Way
Aerosmith
8 - Smells Like Teen Spirit
Nirvana
9 - Back in Black
AC/DC
10 - Crazy Train
Ozzy Osbourne
I think "For Whom the Bell Tolls" should be somewhere in there, and I definitly think "All Night Long" is a better riff than "Back in Black"

I love him. He's like those happy old people who become known for sitting by the side of a busy street and waving to passing cars. People drive by regularly and beep just to see him and get him to wave to them.
That's just like our Arpi... except he doesn't wave or anything. He just says mean things to you.

Sister Christian - Night Ranger.
I couldn't top Becky, except the Godspeed with Bruce Dickenson is better. One of the few covers that are better than a really good original.

How about Wasted Years by Iron Maiden? The beginning guitar riffs get me, and his voice rocks on that song!
And Dont Fear The Reaper by Blue Oyster Cult

They stole that from Blue Oyster Cult...in fact, isn't A Whole Lotta Love stolen from an old blues riff?
Where'd you see the article?

High, By Jimmies Chicken Shack is a great riff. If you hear it, you will know it.
Song 2 by Blur and Only by Anthrax also kick some major ass.
