i don't know how i feel about this either. though i was sketchy about jay & silent bob strike back. but this is different. this better not suck.

smith swore up and down in many interviews that he would never use the jay and silent bob characters again or make a sequal to clerks. guess his well ran dry.
i sat next to him and shot the shit for about 3 hours at a blackjack table at the hard rock this spring. very very cool dude.
I love him. He's like those happy old people who become known for sitting by the side of a busy street and waving to passing cars. People drive by regularly and beep just to see him and get him to wave to them.

i really think his only good original film is Clerks. the rest feed off shit he's already done from that...characters, situations, etc.

clerks sucked total ass. Talk about the script all you want, I can't get past the putrid acting.

chasing amy and dogma were his best films. mallrats was too frat house for me.

Mallrats was better though. The only role that Ben was decent and believable in was as "The proprietor of Fashionable Male." The spooks come out at night.

I thought Dogma was awesome, clerks was ok for what it was, mallrats was awesome but I am not a fan of chasing amy.

Mallrats was great. Clerks was ok, Chasing Amy blew. Dogma was awesome, JnSB was his thank you note to the fans. Jersey Girl I haven't seen, give me a few weeks to rent it and I will be out with my expert opinion....

Chasing Amy was an ok movie. I liked clerks, mallrats and Dogma. J&SB was pretty funny too. But i dont think he should make a clerks seuqel. especially when he said hed never use the characters ever again afer J&SB was released.
