It is now technically Friday in the Eastern Time Zone.

I am turning all of the forums but the Pit to read only.

24 hours from now, I will turn the Pit to read only.

96 hours from now, the new site should in theory be live. Most of the hard work is already done, just need to move this database.

On the new site, there are a couple of things to note. If you had an account here, and you had at least 1 post, I already migrated your account. Also, you will still be able to log intothe CDIH archive so that you can view it with your preferred skin and modify your own user information, but you will not be able to post, edit, or send private messages there.

As for CDIH as it is right now - If you have something to say, now is the time to do it.

I've already said my piece, but once more, I will say goodbye. Its been a hell of a ride and I would not have changed a minute of it.

as tough as it is to leave this place behind, i feel it is time to go. it's been a fun 7 years and it was a tough decision but i feel it is necessary for my health and well being to make a clean break.

As you may or may not know by now, CDIH is going down at the end of the month, in a few days.

The board will be moved over to http://www.waxfantastic.com which is a website for my new podcast, and surely anyone who wants to move over to the "new" board is more than welcome.

We have done 7 shows and have been pretty successful with them, about 110 listeners so far, which isnt bad for a show that has no advertisement outside of iTunes.

We are doing a show tonight from 9 - 11pm which has been our regular broadcast time (we tape on friday and play it on monday for the listeners on Paltalk) Starting this friday tho we are going live and will be taking phone calls and the whole nine.

So basically, tonights show is the last pre-recorded one and its one of our best shows, so i'd like for you to listen if youre interested. YOU DO NOT need to download paltalk to listen, incase youre worried of catching the gay.

The room is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is always streaming one of our past shows. The room isn't always full but we're hoping more people will start coming in and we'll gladly shut off the stream if people wanna chat and stuff.

Obviously we really want you all to tune in when the new shows are broadcast, then the room is always packed with people and you can interact with other listeners.

Please check out the podcast, we work really hard to make it different and not just a generic show. So give it a try, this monday is the FINAL pre-recorded show. I started using this when a friend told me about it, and I'm addicted to using it. Whenever I need a baseball score, addresses, trivia answers, or to just kill time, I use ChaCha.

You can either text 242242 (ChaCha) and ask any question, or call 800-2-242-242 and ask any question, and ChaCha will text you back the answer. It's a free service, it makes it's money on advertising on its website; only standard text rates apply. So if you have unlimited like I have, ask away!

The way it works is there are ChaCha guides on the internet fielding questions from people all over the country, and they look it up for you and also provide you a link to refer to on your internet-enabled phone or on the computer.

What's great is if your on the internet already, you can become a guide too and make .15 per search to start, .20 after the first month, as well as to earn 10 percent of earnings from guides you refer to ChaCha, up to 20 referrals! I loved using Chacha so I decided to become a guide, I figure why not kill time on the web and make some extra bar cash. I've made 22 bucks since Monday.

Good show boys and girls but all good things need to end and CDIH is no different. I loved this site, it was the retarded little spawn of Sean and me, it's sick to even think that it was 7 years ago that we sat around at seans place and came up with the idea for this place, 7 years... that’s pretty good in message board standards.

We made a lot of friends and lost a lot along the way, we had a lot of awesome fun times and a few not so fun times. In some way I appreciate everyone who ever posted here, like you or hate you, I still appreciated you coming here. Obviously to those still reading this: galt, hedcold, jays, goat, jack, gooch, sleeper, Drusilla and especially my favorite of all time.. DIG!!! I don't want to sound sappy and say you guys are like family but for 7 years I have been used to interacting with you, in some cases even longer than that and some of us have met and are friends and some, we haven't ever met but it's going to be weird not seeing you guys everyday, even if I don't post much anymore, I check the board everyday. You're all good eggs and I really thank you, for having kept this place somewhat habitable for the past several months.

Obviously the biggest issue was the fact we we're never really about anything, hence why we weren't able to keep up but as I mentioned before, we outlasted most everyone else who came along and for a while we're bigger than most any other board.

As for what's going to happen in the future, we will leave everything as is for the next few weeks, probably till the last week of august. All of the posts on CDIH will be archived, in the same way that OA.com and YMB are archived. The board itself will still exist but not as CDIH, I’ll pretty much never get rid of the site, if I ever do I will hand over the archives to someone, most probably FMJeff. But the message board itself will become a part of my new podcast that I have been doing, we have a separate site set up for the podcast but we want to have a message board eventually and this will be it. You're all obviously welcome to move but it won't be a huge move, the url will still be active (colddayinhell.net) for whatever reason I paid for a transfer of the old url (cdih.net) but there was some mix up and now some fuckin dot head owns CDIH till 2009 and I still haven't gotten a refund. But the colddayinhell URL will be active for all the old members but it will forward to our podcast site and all of the old posts will be archived as I mentioned before and a new board will be started.

So in essence nothing huge is changing, it's just really sad in a way that CDIH itself is over, I put a lot into it from the start and it's kind of sentimental I guess. Also obviously there have been others who deserve a lot of credit, first and foremost is Jack for all the work he has done on the site for both Sean and me and the work he still does for which I have always appreciated. Goatweed for being my wingman during CDIH Redux after Sean. Also all the members past and present whom I have already thanked. Sean himself of course, though gone for a long time, if you're curious he is doing very well for himself now and he is in a much better place emotionally.

So many memories in the past 7 years, keyser's booty call thread, the confessions thread, arpi being a piece of shit every day of his life, hedcold making us a wiki page after wiki kept on deleting us, star-child, DIG, Kenspen, Hoon, the faggy arts forum, Sleeper Hitchcock's Dial M For Meatflaps!!!

I really do hope that most of you still come to the "new" board, even though it's not really new, same board just new look and name, different forums I guess. I will say one thing though, I wanted to keep the board and the website separate for the main reason that I obviously have been around long enough to know that boards = drama. So if the board does ever get out of hand, I can just lock it up and archive it away from our podcast website. Also the biggest change will really be the fact that banning will be in effect on the new board and I will not hesitate to ban anyone, no matter how much history we have, I may keep the cell idea but that's going to have to be a decision I make when it comes to that point.

I was in a meeting today. An interminable meeting with some lady from our communications group who made no sense, yet she just kept talking and talking and talking.

My mind started to wander about all the zany things I'd like to do and the reactions that they'd get: closing my eyes, putting my head on the table, groaning, looking at her really angrily, whatever.

But then I realized that I had to shit real bad. I looked around and realized that I was far enough away from anyone that I could probably squeeze out some gas without anyone being offended. Then I realized I was all alone at the end of table and there was no door behind me. I could have definitely slipped my pants off and possibly even slyly squated besides my chair and maybe even taken a bit of a shit. And then I could grab a fistful of my shit and throw it at her and hit her in the face.

This made me very happy. I started smiling and I couldn't stop. A laugh started to grow and I had to cough to cover it. But then I kept smiling and I had those shivering shoulders that people have when they are trying to contain a laugh. They looked at me weird.

Then I left and surfed the web for three hours.
