I was thinking about it and I realized that I miss Joe Bob Briggs, the host of Monstervision on TNT (the best thing on TNT) if you ask me. Sure it was the same shitty movies but his little pre-commercial commentary was the best thing on Saturday nights. What are some people you miss seeing on TV (not because they are dead)?

if you wanna go into shows, i'd have to say millennium - even tho it's still on in reruns, it was an incredible show and should have gone on longer.

There's a lot of great shows not to be seen anymore.

I used to love Airwolf when it was on in the 80's.

And what about The State on MTV.

Good one McBourbon! I didn't care what crappy movie they had on, I just watched it for one (make that two) reasons. ;)

Yeah, The State was hilarious, but I would give the nod for best sketch show to The Ben Stiller Show that used to be on Comedy Central. It was ahead of its time, IMO.

Ben Stiller was on FOX first then reruns on Comedy Central for awhile then they stopped airing CC reruns and then FX showed an entire day of BSS episods and then didn't run them again. It would be smart to show them like even every weekend. Sure there was 13 episode but it was a great show. And do they really need to show 15 hours of M*A*S*H a day? The show with the chick alien was "Wish On a Star" I think.

The State also had "The Jew, the Italian and the Red Head Gay" and was funny as hell. They also had the Killer Muppets and the Justice League making fun of Aquaman.

I think that Gilbert can be occasionally funny, he's not as awful as people make him out to be. HOWEVER, my funniest Gottfried "moment" had nothing to do with him. It was in the Puma Man episode of MST3K and they had this Gilbert looking guy in a firetruck and Crow says in a GG voice "I'm Gilbert Gottfried driving a fire engine for USA Up all night" and that had me laughing for weeks.

Well this is gonna show my age. Anybody remember a skit show called "Fridays"? The guy that played Kramer on Seinfeld was on it. It started a couple of years after SNL started. When SNL still had the old crew. Skits like Eddie the monster, The drugged out pharmacist, Joe cool, and the Jamaican cooking show. Everything eventually was spiced with weed and smoked.
Or even SCTV, with John Candy, Joe Flaherty, Eugene Levy, Andrea Martin, Catherine O'Hara, and Dave Thomas, along with Harold Ramis, Del Close, Sheldon Patinkin.

It looks just like a TeleFunken U-47, you'll love it.

The best skit comedy show in the last ten years, hands down, is "kids in the hall". What's funnier than "can't fix the car without a whole lotta milka", or "I've got a spike through my head, a spike through my head!"? Nuthin, that's what. I know I'm opinionated, but you'll deal with it.
I also miss "newsradio" when phil heartman was alive. oh phil, you left us too soon...

LCF, for years I've said that KitH is the prince to Monty Python's King of Sketch Comedy. without a doubt KitH is always hysterical especially when they do totally weird shit that makes no sense like "Sausages" or the one where Kevin McDonald is at a supermarket (I can't really explain it, if you've seen the sketch you know the one). And Leather, remember "Don't put salt in your eyes"

As for NewsRadio- best sitcom of the 90s, possibly ever.

I also miss The State, they are a cult fave. for college kids today. It's also cool to see the cast members progressing in their careers.

Two great shows that I miss are MTV's Buzzkill, this was a great reality prank show before they were the trend like today.

And who can forget Duckman. Other than the Simpsons, this was probably the best animated show. It was intelligent, had some great obscure reference, and even taught a lesson in end of every episode.

Duckman is a God. I can't really say more than that. It was well written, his rants were priceless, Cornfed was hysterical, Ajax had great lines, and Fluffy and Uranus were great. It was better and smarter than Seinfeld (this also starred Jason Alexander) and USA fucked it by putting it on at different time slots every week. 'The Once and Future Duck' was probably as good as it gets.

I miss the f-ing simpsons. The crapola they shovel out now is depressing. I get mebbe 1 chuckle every 2 episodes. The funniest line this season that I can recall is when smithers is pulling burns on a rickshaw and burns goes "you call yourself a chinaman?". I've been surprisingly impressed with futarama tho, so it's kinda made up for that. There were a couple of good episodes this season, like the amazon one and the alien balls one. Bender kicks ass. I don't remember which episode it was, but they were at this celebrity graveyard and bender starts robbing graves and says, "now nobody can say I don't own john laroquette's skull." If that's not quality, I don't know what is.

That was the episode where Fry goes on a search for his lucky four leaf clover which was surprisringly a touching episode. The line (not sure the exact quote but you got the gist of it) was about John Laroquette's spine not skull. And Futurama is definitely FOX's best show and should have a better timeslot than 7 pm Sundays. Put it on with Family Guy or after Simpsons, move Malcolm, Futurama deserves better.
