Who's the only player to have his number retired by THREE baseball franchises?

Rules: Post more questions. First to answer correctly gets NOTHING from questioner. Fun huh?

Actually, you could always make it a contest to see who can answer the most questions correctly. I'll throw one out there:

Who has had the most strikeouts in a season all time? (Pitcher)

The answer to both questions is Nolan Ryan.

He had his # retired by Texas, Houston, and California (Anaheim).

He struck out 383 in 1973, beating Koufax' record by one. If you want to get technical, though, Matt Kilroy had 500+ K's one year in the 1800's, but pre-1900 records aren't officially recognized.

Next question: On June 23, 1917, Ernie Shore entered a game in the first inning with a man on first and no outs. He picked off the runner and retired the next 26 batters, but he isn't credited with a perfect game since he didn't start. Who did start that game?

Which NHL player's father won three medals in swimming at the 1972 Olympic Games?

Shit, too late for the Bossy question.

Here's a decent football one:
Name the two famous nicknames for Hall of Famer Harold Grange, All-American running back at the University of Illinois in the early 1920s, then for the Bears until 1935.

Also for the hockey fans:
Who was the last NHL player to NOT wear a helmet?

The answer to your 1st question is Red and Galloping Ghost.

The answer to your second question is Craig MacTavish.

My question is who are the only two major league baseball players to play for all 4 New York based teams????

The other is Jose Vizcaino

Not sure about the other Ranger/Devil/Islander, I'm thinking Ray Ferraro or John McLane, but pretty sure they just cover 2 of the 3.

Who are the 6 father-son combos that have had at least one 20-HR season??

I think my mask of sanity              is about to slip

I guess we're not counting Jackie Robinson's number being retired "in perpetuity", as Bud Selig said.

Babe Ruth - thrown out for arguing.

I can't think of the 4th one, but it's not Ferraro or McLean (I looked it up at NHL.com)

The 4th guy is the guy who used to be the lone guy in this Trivia Question, until a couple of years ago when Nemchinov and then Malakhov and Vanbiesbrouk accomplished the feat.

the guy is Pat Conacher

The answer to my question is indeed Babe Ruth. Tequila, Ruth started 38 games for Boston in 1917. (Baseball-Reference.com)

Totally stumped on the father/son question. Bob Boone never hit more than 12 HR's in a season, though. Jose Cruz Sr. never hit 20 either. Tough question...

Well I'll be damned. That Aflac trivia question from last year must have been wrong then. Scratch that, it's 5 combos.

How about the remaining 2 being

Buddy Bell and David Bell
Randy Hundley and Todd Hundley

EDIT- Just checked it out. Buddy and David Bell is one of them, but Randy Hundley came 1 short, The Most Homeruns he hit in a season was 19.
