I'm surprised no one mentioned Grave of the Fireflies yet. Surprised I didn't mention Heavy Metal.

Hey, what about the Rugrats' movies???

OK, in all seriousness, Heavy Metal and Beavis and Butthead do America.

But, thanks to all of you for turning me on to some promising stuff.

Brownstone...I actually like Heavy Metal 2000 a lot (uh-oh, jon's going to put me in the barrel again for this one) The music was great, better than the 1st, the story was pretty okay, and the characters, esp. the villians are done well and I love the little rock guy.

My other faves:
--Beauty and the Beast
--South Park (one of the most intelligent movies ever)
--Vampire Hunter D & Wicked City (sick!) as far as anime goes
--American Pop (anyone ever seen this yet? TERRIFIC movie by the ones who did Fritz the Cat)

Spit- Ameriacan Pop was AWESOME- I cant beleive I forgot about it. Does the little kid, Pete, turn into Bob Seger at the end? Seems like it may be an autobiography of Bob Seger....
The Lion King was pretty cool too.

Dent, I mentioned Princess Mononoke, but by its Japanese name ("Hime" being japanese for "Princess"). Trust me, the japanese version is much better if you can get your hands on it.
And Spit, Demon City Shinjuku was a great movie, thanks for reminding me about it.

Thanks Seph.

I heard the DVD will have both the English and Japanese language tracks. Have to check it out.

Care Bears the Movie!!!!!

I'd have to go with both Toy Story movies. The characters were more fleshed out than half the movies with real actors in them.

South Park, Iron Giant and Mask of the Phantasm are all good ones too. And nothing beats the Bugs Bunny/Daffy Duck shorts by WB.
