I had to turn it off, like every day. THEY SUCK. Old, horrible. Hiring Leah to help doesn't work and I love her threatening them on national radio, That's smart and a wise career move O and A always win, in the end. Now go post on the non-existent D and M board. | Hanger-On Registered: May. 02 | Why should O+A retaliate? They dont ned to. D+M got raped cockeyed yesterday, and they did such a bad job this morning that O+A didnt even need to respond. Also yesterday was Opies 38th birthday, So he's only 15 years younger than Don,and half as drunk as mike apparently is at work. Jim Norton sodomized them so bad in the last two hours of O+As show yesterday they are in the lead until Mid July ROFL. D+M cant hang. They are whining, and having to lash out, and in the end O+A can st back and laugh, knowing they are being attacked by a pair of weaklings. Also, why would O+A respond? The only thing they would be doing is upping don and mikes ratings, at which point D+M would slip into oblivion slower than they normally would. Either way it would just slow the inevitable. D+M are done. They suck. They are second fiddle to O+A, and they are second in almost every major ratings demographic and market to O+A. The truth hurts...but it doesnt hurt O+A. | Psychopath Registered: May. 02 | Since D&M aren't on the air in Boston and I never heard them before yesterday I figured I could give them a listen with an unbiased ear. I had the good fortune to tune in for the first time just as one of them started to tear into O&A. Some of O&A's best radio from their Boston days was when they battled with the DJs from 'BCN (Nik Carter mostly) so I figured I could enjoy listening to this battle. The problem is that it's really embarassing listening to those guys (D&M). It's amazing how far off the mark they are when they try to characterize O&A's show and especially their listeners. One thing I've that has always made me cringe when listening to the local Boston DJs is the moronic sounding callers. When O&A finally came back on the Boston airwaves I was psyched to discover that some of the funniest material on the show came from the regular callers. I try not to swallow everything O&A tell us and I do occasionally find them repetitive or egotistical but I've NEVER listened to a radio show that made me burst out laughing (sometimes in tears) harder than this show. I'm listening to D&M right now and I'm quickly coming to the conclusion that they're offering nothing more than the typical pre-written "comedy" bits that are heard on half-ass regional radio shows all over the country. Not an ounce of spontaneity so far. Sure O&A have to fall back on old bits (whether replaying something recorded or relying on a familiar formula) at least they are capable of completely surprising and shocking you. You won't get that subscribing to "Prep Burger" (or whatever the hell it's called). Oh, and I've also started listening to Ron and Fez (although I've managed to catch them before during my trips to NJ and back) and those two are fucking funny. That shit with the guest caller who tried to psychoanalyze people based on their "birth position" was hilarious. Although I don't know why I'm gushing over R&F here.... I'll shut the fuck up now...I was up all night last night so I'm worried I could start rambling here. (Oh, Leah Remini is hot. They said "Who asked you?" They basically are just not concerned with listeners. And that is why I can't listen to them. I have given them chance after chance and I just can't listen to them. I am not just some O&A lemming. I wanted something to listen to in mid-day. D&M aren't it. And now they attack not only O&A, but their listeners? And trying to support it by saying they are beating O&A in ONE market? What about NY? What about Philly? Where are they in Boston? Where are they in Chicago? Where are they in Cleveland? One market does not a syndicated show make. And now they not only bore me, they anger me. I will NEVER give D&M another chance. And I hope no one else will either. Don't give them ratings that will keep them in NY. So, in summary, Don does what he does with the ratings to stroke his ego. O&A don't because they want to entertain. PERIOD. END OF STORY. MOVE ON NOW! Sorry for wasting your time on this stupid bullshit. I'm done.  | ||||

When all these D&M drones talk about ratings, they forget one simple thing - O&A weren't hired to have the highest overall ratings. They were hired to have the highest ratings IN A CERTAIN DEMOGRAPHIC RANGE. All the D&M fans (if there are any left) please reread the words in caps again. O&A have accomplished that, and more. D&M couldn't get ratings in NY if they held people at gunpoint. Now, no question that they have very high ratings in D.C. Well, guess what? They have been there for about 20 years. They better have good ratings after all that. O&A have been on the air in D.C. for how long - 7-8 months? And you can compare 20 years to 8 months? Please, stop being so pathetic. I would love to see D&M move to another radio station and go head to head with O&A. O&A would destroy them. It would be Stern/Mancow part II. | ||||
