Anyone who questions their own opinions or ideas merely because they are in line with popular thought, is just as bad as the sheep who blindly follow. Capitalism is ideally the best form of goverment. Unfortunately, for Capitalism to work properly, it needs to be carried out with integrity. We are now seeing the results of a Capitalist system totally lacking in integrity. The music scene is not going to get any better, any time soon. If the American population were stripped of the right to bear arms, we would open ourselves up to the potential for rampant violent crime, and a possible Dictatorship. Drugs should be legalized. Period. Immigration is a good thing. However, it should be mandatory that all immigrants know the English language and American history before entering the country, and agree to never live under the financial support of the government. Darwin was right. Only if there were no such thing as organized religion, would world peace be possible. We had 9/11 coming to us. Not that it in any way justifies what happened, but it was inevitable. There should be much stricter standards for obtaining a driver's license. Hunting for food should be encouraged, hunting for sport should be a crime. Same goes for fishing. Spanish Reggae is the musical equivalent of sticking hot pokers up your own ass. College is not necessary. With self discipline, it is possible to get just as good of an education through independent study and by spending time in the real world. If you were to invest all the money you would use for college in the stock market, you'd see a greater return in the long run. Pete Rose and Shoeless Joe Jackson deserve to be in the Hall of Fame. Some stereotypes are just fuckin' true. All the PC bullshit in the world won't change this. Top to bottom, Rush is the most talented Rock band ever. The automobile is outdated, it's way past time to restructure the way our society travels. It's amazing that with the level of technology available to us, we still risk our lives every day in these filthy death traps. George Carlin, Richard Pryor, Lenny Bruce, and Bill Hicks all are/were great comedians. Some of the people passing themselves off as comedians these days have no business doing so. Comedy should have a purpose. There is intelligent life on other planets, and most likely Earth has been visited by alien life many times. What makes us so special to think we're the best in the universe? Unfortunately, there's no such thing as privacy. As a society, we allow invasions of our privacy in the name of convienence, and it will come back to haunt us, probably very soon. The Academy Awards, Tonys, Emmys, Grammys, and whatever else is out there, are bullshit and meaningless. All it is is an excuse for insecure stars to once again stand in the spotlight, and for unimaginative corporate executives to reap the benefits of their control of the minds of Americans. Professional wrestling is good. WWF is crap. The soundtrack to O Brother, Where Art Thou? kicks ass on so many levels. The movie was good, too. Ego is probably one of the most misused words in the English language. The people most often accused of having a big ego, are actually the ones with little to no ego. Someone with a big ego is confident in the fact that he is better than everyone else, and keeps this knowledge to himself. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | Politicians should have little to NO access to money whatsoever... at best they should get paid minimum wage, all their basic needs should be supplied by their office, but belong solely to the office itself, NOT the officeholder, no donations or contributions. Any and all of their assests should be liquidated and inserted to the general economy. When they leave office they receieve a percentage of the current economy equivalent to the percentage their assets equated to when first "invested", since many or most politicians want to make money, this would encourage them to do their best to keep the economy improving for EVERYONE, because it would be the only legitimet way for them to make a profit. Chemicals that greatly increase females sexual drive should be intoduced into all consumables, then men should be the ones at the bar getting picked up by women with beer goggles on. there should be a chemicly enhanced olympics. The legal age should be reduced to the onset of puberty (if nature didn't want us screwing until we were 18.. guys wouldn't be sprouting boners and girls wouldn't start bleeding UNTIL THEY WERE 18 DAMMIT!!!) our agressive, warlike nature is evolution's way of having us keep our own population in check... by trying to be peaceful we are overpopulating and thus harming the planet... so sick the tree huggers on the hippies and be done with it Our various religions should all be abandoned, and we should all instead follow the teachings of jack handy, author of "Deep thoughts" Porno's should have a few oscar categories of their own  No!
