as a Firefighter, i am truely sadend by the fact that roughly by most estamated approx. 200 of my brothers and sisters in the fireservice are unaccounted for. along with the 30 or so police officers, yesterday is another one of those days you will always remember where you were. many heros died yesterday, from the nameless man or woman who might have held open a door for someone else so they may also live, the 3 heros on the plane that went down here in Pennsylvainia who knew they were going to die anyway but in an attempt to save lives they chose to give thier own. to the crew of all 4 planes who under my best guess put up a fight. to the men and women of the FDNY, NYPD, NY port authority, President Bush, i ask you make sure these heros did not die in for nothing. bring swift and exacting justace to ALL involved in the murder of possibly thousands of people. in both New York as well as Washington DC. since yesterday when i got out of bed to start my day i turned on the tv to what i thought was a movie. but only i am sure now there will not be a happy ending to it, the credits will not roll in the end with the heros rideing off into the sunset. history was made yesterday, history is still in the makeing. please pray for the fallen. pray for the rescuers in both NY and washington, pray for our country.we will make it.

My Co-worker's Brother is a NYFD fighter. He had off this week for Vacation. His Partner was working to cover him. When this happend They were the 1st to be called in. My Co-worker's brother was called in. He was stuck in traffic when the towers collapased.

He had to sit there when 200 of his brothers perished in some fucking towel heads little game. It is just so sad. It was confirmed about 3pm yesterday that indeed his whole fire company had died in the collapse. He is not taking this well at all.....

I was on the scene yesterday when all three of the buildings collapsed. I have never seen such a war zone in my life.I have to tell you that the outpouring of support is unbelievable. I'll never be able to close my eyes again and not see death and destruction. I've checked out this board many times being an O and A fan, but today felt I should join and post in this topic.
All I can say is Semper Fi mother fucker and God help those who did this. As a Japanese Official said after the bombing of Pearl Harbor "I fear we have awakened the sleeping giant"

God bless the bravery of all of the men and women who fought hell yesterday to save their fellow americans. Your heroic acts will never, ever be forgotten, and gave us hope for this country and humanity. It's still hard for me to believe that this happened. I still have a lump in my throat and a sick stomach from yesterday's events. My sorrow is turning to anger though. How dare those people do this to us. The more i try not to think about it, the more i can't think about anything else.

Thank you all. It'd been extremely rough on all of us. When you see this in person, it just makes you want to cry. Its hard on NYPD,FDNY,PAPD and other agencies who try to work to help others, knowing you have lost friends and family.

My prayers go out to everyone involved.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts.

Peace

This morning I saw 5 police officers being interviewed. They were from New Hampshire. They didn't get a call or a request. They saw what was going on, grabbed their gear, got in a car and drove their asses to NYC to help if they could.
That's a true hero, as well.

This is a time to reflect and thank all of NYC's Finest & Bravest.

All of our prayers are with them and all of the volunteers sacrificing life & limb.

Please, people, don't just remember them now. Remember them next week, next month, next year, 20 yrs from now. This is the best example, but by far not the only example of their bravery.
