| O&A Board Veteran Registered: Dec. 00  | Keep in mind that we are doing this for fun. With the word FUN in mind, here are the rules for the tournament (for now). :) 1. Grumpy enforces the rules. :) 2. The Game played will be traditional 9 Ball. Only the 1-9 balls will be used and racked in a diamond formation. 3. The object is to sink the 9 Ball either as the last ball on the table or in a compound shot with lowest numeric ball on the table. 4. The first ball hit on the table must be the lowest numeric ball. The low ball may be used for compund shots to sink other balls. 5. If the lowest ball is not the first ball struck, it is a scratch. 6. On a scratch, the cue ball may be placed anywhere on the table. 7. Three scratches in once match constitutes a loss of that match. Three Strikes, you're out. 8. If a ball is sunk, after the lowest target ball is struck, it counts. If the 9 ball is sunk, it is a WIN. 9. 9 Ball sunk on a break is an automatic win. 10. If a ball is sunk after a scratch, it gets placed on the center dot of the rack point. 11. After the initial break and nothing goes in, if the lowest ball is not in a clear line of shot with the cue, the player may call a "push" and hit the cue ball to any point on the table. If his opponent accepts the push, game continues. If the opponent refuses the push, that player must play from where the cue ball stands last. 12. Grumpy reserves the right to modify or eliminate any of the rules as he sees fit in a fair and impartial manner, to accommodate a difference in skill levels. If you have issues with this rule, see rule #1. 13. A player may offer his opponent a handicap if he deems himself cocky enough to beat him. 14. Side wagers and enforcement of those wagers are your problem. Do not make your side bets public knowledge. That means, do not put the money on the pool table where it can be seen, ASSWIPE. 15. Grumpy reserves the right to add more rules as they occur to him. Don't worry, I plan on being very fair about it. I want to make sure that matches are not lopsided and are fair. For the beginners, rule #7 will be eliminated. If by chance, or luck of draw, a beginner is chosen to play against a veteran, the 8 and possibly the 7 ball will be given to the beginner as a handicap to the vet. The number of balls handicapped will be based on Grumpy's evaluation of skill levels.  Proud staller of Gary Coleman Have you seen the dash button? | ||||

I'll abreviate it for the retards : 1 - I make rules 2 - You follow rules 3 - Hit ball in hole 4 - hit 9 ball in hole, you win 5 - if you scratch, you must wash your hands 6 - see rule #1 As for everyone else, I'd like your opinions please on the following rule: In the ladies tournament, the losing player MUST WOW the male players. Okay - folks, on the basis that Roger did not like the WOW rule, it has been nixed. WOW'ing will be done, strictly on a voluntary basis.
