On today's show I believe O&A promised a road show in lieu of the now defunct WWF tapings. They also promised lots of T&A. Let's hold them to that promise!

I'd personally like to encourage them to make it out here to Jersey.

i'm not afraid to say that that last little bit
they did - with the "i will remember you..." shit
-song playing and both of the boys dropping lines
from the cancelled show - actually shook me up a
little. That news to start the show off and the
continuous reference to it through out (and then
that ending - jeesh!) did kind of bring me down!

My response, though: F-THEM! Not the XFL, but
NBC. An O&A sense of humored pre-game show would
eventually soar and kick major ass. As soon as
they "figured it out" like they said.

O & A - Keep your heads up! It's a complete
cliche, and I know you've heard it before, but:

YOU GUYS RULE!

Shit, when they came on the air and said they where fired, I was getting flashbacks to the last radio chick show. This does not look good for the XFL ! If a full partner like N.B.C. will not commit to a half hour pre game show they are in trouble. And PLEASE, a major network like N.B.C. can't afford $50,000. Give me a break. That is like 15 seconds of advertising on E.R..

When they said "We're Fired" I didn't even think of the XFL gameday I thought they were just talking to Jeremy and he made a passing mention to "Final Days" and started to freak out. So immediately I went to the board which wasn't working which made me wonder how strong a hold Infinity has on everything.

Also the show didn't seem to be $50,000 worth, or maybe that's just me

When O an A came on the air and said they were fired I almost had a coronary.I couldn't calm down until they said they were fired from the XFL. I thought they did a very good job for the XFL and I will not bash them. At least they got some national exposure and as Long As I can hear them on the radio FUCK NBC.

I thought that the show was not great, it seemed like they were NBC's puppets.

Uh well, they were NBC's puppets sort of. There were just certain objectives that they had to accomplish each week during the show. It sucks, it was so sweet getting to see the guys on a TV show. Oh well, I hope they beat the game in the ratings this week.

I too, am saddend by the recent canceling of the XFL Game-Day Show. I am especially upset that I did not attend the final taping (prior obligations) and gather photographic evidence. I hope somebody else took some pictures from the final taping. If you do, please post them in GD or put up a link, thank you in advance. The XFL Tapings were like a "mini-Road Show" every week. I met some really cool people (you know who you are) and took some pictures to share with those who couldn't be there to experience it for themselves. I'm gonna miss it...

and now...a quote & response to an earlier post on this thread...
quote:

I'd rather have a road show than the stupid XFL anyway

Did you ever attend any of the tapings? I don't recall meeting you there... Have you attended a road show yet? If the answer to either or both of these questions is "NO" ...then shut up...

Calm:
I'm with you. If O&A are as regular as they say (tin knocker?) I give them all the props in the world for getting involved in the 1st place. TV? C'mon! Soon, but not yet I guess. Everything happens for a reason & for the laughs they have given me, I'll wait & wish 'em the best. F*** the cancelling! So be it. They will continue to succeed thru diff'rnt routes. they not only cut it because of the budget but because lorne michaels was pissed because the XFL pushed back SNL. So NBC cut down XFL to accomodate him. The beginning is earlier, the halftimes are shorter, and the game has been speeded up.

Yeah, it sucks that the show was cancelled, but they did get a taste of what being on a nationally viewed televsion show is like. Granted, it was a very short-lived ride, but I think the boys can only benefit from this - they got a little exposure, they sort-of know what to expect the next time they get offered to do something TV related, and, as they kept saying, had a lot of fun doing it!

What I'm looking forward to now is the next road show - I havent been able to get to one yet, either because of work or some other tool-ish reason, but I vowed, the next one, Im there - even banked time off just for the occassion. The boys did mention that they were in the planning stages, and they have yet to let us down.

Maybe it was a good thing it got cancelled - Id rather get cancelled before the games officially get knocked off the air than at the same time (which it seems might happen before the end of the damn season, if the ratings go as they have been)

I was going to finally be able to go to the tapings regularly in a couple of weeks and now this. But I'm still relieved because for a few seconds there I thought the radio show was cancelled and I was freaking the fuck out.

The whole XFL thing is going down. It won't last much longer. Everyone in radio gets fired at some point. It's the same with TV. It's not the end of thier TV career. Just the end of thier first shot at it.
