| Psychopath Registered: Jan. 01  | Hey all, anyone have any clues as to where O&A could go that might welcome them in. I sure as fuck would love to have them come on in Jacksonville, N.C. Down here is the Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. There are 70,000 Marines who would love the O&A show. I just got orders to be here for the next three years +, and O&A would definately make it a lot easier, esp considering I'll probably be on the next MEU to go into combat(I got orders to the highliest deployed unit in the Marine Corps for my MOS), but thats another story. But a good station to get with down here is 105.5 WXQR it's a pure rock station with a morning talk show, so it wouldn't be so new to them. In radioland, they are a very expensive program, and even with good ratings that can't balance the books. Talk stations/ shows generally have more commercials than music stations so that will balance out the national spots. he only problem could come from advertisers especially in smaller more conservative areas being scared off. | ||||

| Hanger-On Registered: Mar. 02 | The way it was explained to me, is national spots become a problem because they are guaranteed. So when O & A run off track, many times the local commercials get pushed to the end of the show or stuck in long breaks. Is more a product of an unscheduled show(not a bad thing), which also requires a board op. All this combined makes it difficult for small stations to pick up a show like O and A Monkeys on Mars, coming to a screen near you | ||||
