I caught the Stern show on E last night at 11, and it was the last Otto and George appearance where he totally bombed. For everybody who listened to the last show with Otto and George, and began to cringe at how bad Otto was flopping has to see this video tape.

It was honestly one of the most pathetic displays I have ever witnessed. When Otto began to crumble, his eyes began to water. He was literally on the verge of tears. Stern even pointed out at one point that Otto was about to cry.

At the end of the show, they had Otto walking out of the studio telling whoever was holding the camera to get the hell away from him or something like that. He then proceeded to repeat that he was over with radio, over and over again. Guess this dick has finally realized what he's done and doesn't want to tarnish his reputation any further.

Is this one of those "Opie and Anthony always win in the end" instances? Or is it one of those "sucks to be you" instances?

I think it's both as well. I personally couldn't be happier when I saw those pathetic eyes well up with surpressed tears. The guy thought he was going to drop O&A and gain major stardom through Stern.

One thing I hadn't mentioned was that this guy honestly looked like a mess. His clothes looked filthy. If I saw him on some curb with a paper cup in his right hand and a puppet on his left, I would instinctively drop my spare change in the cup.

I did watch this last night because I wanted to see Otto on. It was terrible. I felt sorry for him. He fucked himself on O&A but, I am sure they would welcome him back. It looked really bad though. He might have to start looking for another job. Anyone watching that would never go see him.

that was the most uncomfortable episode of the Stern show I'd ever seen. He wasn't really sucking until he dropped the F-bomb. Then his psychotic meltdown began and he spent the last ten minutes in tears and whining about what a hack he is.

I did feel really terrible for Otto, because let's face it he was a pretty funny guy , at least when he was on O&A.

But the sad fact is that he brought it down upon himself. Otto knew perfectly well what he was doing. I'm sure Otto knew that he could go on Stern, and then still be accepted by O&A. Hell Opie even said after Otto's first appearance on Stern that he was always welcome on the show. But Otto chose not to be a part of Opie and Anthony any more. Just like he chose to say stuff like "At least someone is doing something nice for me." In my opinion that was a shot at the boys.

All of this makes whatever feelings of pity I had for the guy disappear once I think about what he did to put himself there in the first place.

I wouldn't be shocked if Otto threw George in the garbage and he put a gun to his own head and pulled the trigger. I feel very bad for him. :(

Yeah thanks Dick!!!!!

I hope not. Otto and George are too funny to not have on the show. It sucks that Otto kicked O and A to the side and went somewhere else, hopefully the two parties can reconcile and get together on the air waves again.

i don't think they could ever be back on O and A, even if they made up off air. If otto ever popped up in the studeo the callers and instant feedback would bash him until he left.

You may have a point, but if O&A welcome them back, the listeners should come around too. It should be like wrestling: a wrestler may be a bad guy for a while, but when he's turned back into a good guy again, everyone's expected to love him and cheer him again.

Hehe yeah thats the reason I said it. He used to sit in the middle of central park and play with his puppet so people would feel some pity on him and throw loose change at his little tin tip can. Looks like now that he's stabbed his friends in the back he has no one to turn to.

Too bad for Otto, he had everything going for him. An immense following from the O & A audience and a successful carreer as a comic. He leaves to go get railed in the ass by the insults from Stern's listeners. He just couldn't stay content with the O & A show, somehow he figured that he could do bigger on Howard's show. Guess it's true, be careful what you wish for.

Does anyone remember the gunshot sound effect
the last time 0&A talked about Otto & George.
I think he's dead to them, but you never know.

Little side note:
Otto & George will be playing soon in one of the Long Island Clubs. In the past, it always said under his name "As heard on Opie & Anthony". That is mysteriously missing now, although it does appear under Rich Vos's name.

otto told me last week when i spoke to him, afte he was on stern, that he doesn't hate o&a, he waited months for rick to return his calls, before giving up on them. maybe it's mutual, i don't know. i know that in november, otto did a show at carolines, and ant was at the show. otto has been friends with stern for years, long before o&a came to NY. true he's never been on the show until recently, but it doesn't change the fact that he's been friends with stern for quite a while.

Maybe that's what happened. But I mean Otto always killed on O&A, it's kind of weird that Rick wouldn't wanna return the calls.

crinkle, i agree that it's wierd, but that's what otto told me. i know that he hasn't been on the show since last aug, but ant went to carolines to se otto in nov, and everything was cool, almost 3 months after his last appearance on o&a. i don't think it harmed ther friendship. it's probably more of a "jim florentine" situation.
