| O&A Board Veteran Registered: Sep. 00  | Yesterday, a new chapter began in the rivalry between Don and Mike and Opie and Anthony. Don, from the midday show, challenged the afternoon duo for hours with his "arguments" and later tried to debate only to be hung up on…four times (which says more than he cares to admit). Expectedly, such a "crisis" would cause the opieanthony.com message board to be overrun with D&M supporters criticizing the duo and their antics and proclaiming utter superiority of Mr. O’Mera and Mr. Source. But let me ask you this- what is the point? I know I shouldn’t be the person to comment on wasting time but seriously, all the time dedicated to these posts- couldn’t one’s time be used for a better purpose? Is it really so important to let us know that you agree with Don and Mike and that you think O&A are douchebags? It’s not hard to form a coherent argument, but if you make your point you best be prepared to back it up with actual proof. Saying that you heard the O&A show 10 years ago on Don and Mike is one of the stupidest I ever heard. Accusing us and O&A for the reason 9/11 happened- why, because Don and Mike couldn‘t last in New York? That‘s not just a low blow but says a lot about yourself and what a spiteful bitter person you are using the WTC Attack to - make us rethink our lives and what shows we are in favor of? Did Opie and Anthony cause 9/11? NO! Did the message board cause 9/11? NO! I understand that these people just come on the board to upset and anger us, boil the blood so to speak and we respond, futile as it is. We defend the board and the show of whose the board’s namesake comes from- once again understandable. But I mean the Don and Mike losers who just re-write the same things over and over again only with different words, it’s not just that you’re writing it but you know they feel deeply as well. I’ve heard people like Garrison on O&A two days ago and John on R&F last night and these radio wars sincerely bother these people. They care about what O&A think, they care what D&M want them to do. When they hear the programs fighting they act like they're hearing Mommy and Daddy once again when Mommy decided not to cook and just order pizza. It’s just shows, they have no bearing on your life, nothing of any note to you is at stake. You can find something else to listen to- that's really the worst thing that can happen, you have four hours without something to listen to. Are you allowed to have a favorite show? Dislike a show? Voice your own opinion? Sure, it’s encouraged, but it has sincerely and sadly has gotten under peoples' skins. | Psychopath Registered: Aug. 00 | Maybe it's possible that people enjoy arguing about frivolous topics and ideas because it is a welcome distraction from the otherwise always present reality of their lives. For me, it's nice to take a break from discussing History, Law, Politics, and the Stock Market and enjoy a ridiculous debate over radio shows.
