| surehappyitsthursday I'm smaat! While the rest of the mods on here have calmed down over the last few months, one (Me!) has risen to the top of his class - with banning, and holding grudges, and being a whiney little BITCH (Me, Buttmunch!!!11!). "Following his abrupt exit last month from crosstown WOR after only six weeks on the job, veteran programmer John Mainelli tells R&R that he has inked a deal to become the "in-house consultant" at Infinity's Big Apple FM Talker WNEW. "About all I can say right now is that I'll be working with PD Jeremy Coleman and GM Ken Stevens, both of whom I've always liked," reports Mainelli. "I'll be at the station most afternoons, starting Monday (6/17)." John Mainelli is one of these guys who bounces all over the place, and gives the illusion that he knows what he's doing, when (in reality) he has done nothing but come in after the fact. He bounces all over the place; he's PDed for WABC (the NY station of Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Art Bell and John Gambling) and briefly (you have to wonder why he was ousted after only 6 weeks!!!) WOR (Bill O'Reilly and Bob Grant), and he has written for Radio & Records and The New York Post (where he becamse OBSESSED with Stern), not staying at any one place long enough to really do anything. Maybe he was logged onto this site and someone saw "Beth" waiting for him and flipped out. My thinking is that Ken and Jeremy brought him in so they can have someone other than themselves to blame when the station continues to tank and they have to implode it. Stern has the non-competition clause which restricts what shows they can put in that slot. That is why they're trying sports, even though it's generally too early for most of Ferrel's stuff. No I don't know who would do a ggod job, but look at his track record, and read his non O&A articles. It just doesn't seem likely. P.S. I think part of his unbridled objectivity reguarding O&A is mostly accurate, but partly motivated by his dislike for Howard. But that's just speculation on my part. Whatever | ||||
