The rich people are also the ones who can afford to hide most of their earnings in offshore accounts, therefore NOT paying the taxes they should. If you think that isn't happening, you're delirious. 40% taxes on $1 billion is $600,000,000. 15% on $20,000 is $17,000. I'm glad we're thinking of the right people.
And this has nothing to do with welfare. This has to do with letting people earn a living wage. Let's make sure everyone who WORKS for a living can make a living wage before anything else, like welfare or the rich or anything else.

I saw Al Gore giving a speech the other day where he blamed the WorldCom disaster on Bush, saying it was Bush's domestic economic policies which allowed the catastrophe to occur.
Of course, he was conveniently neglecting the fact that the majority of the problems that are afflicting the SEC right now were either caused by the Clinton administration, or began during their time in office. And hey, I kind of remember Gore being a part of that administration. Yet somehow Bush is to blame?
The sad thing is, there will be millions of ignorant fools who will take his word at face value. The same fools who stumble along like blind lemmings repeating to themselves, as a mantra, "Bush is stupid! Yeah, he's an idiot!"

| amen. usually everyone in showbiz takes the "default" left-wing stance. Being conservative is simply "uncool", and for a celeb to go out on a limb and speak his mind and take the conservative side, he deserves a lot of credit. amen to jim for not only having a sense of humor, but some intellect as well.
