| Psychopath Registered: Nov. 00  | First off, I'd like to say thanks to the response i've been getting to people wanting copies of older O&A material. [side note: we're working on getting the 1st WNEW show available for you]. I'd also like to state i'm not SELLING this stuff!! Its illegal to do so and it's not the point. Its for trading with O&A fans. You have something i don't and vice versa? We trade. It's for fun Ok, a few people were asking me about what's the best way to tape O&A shows to keep for them selves or trading. WEll I was gonna write out a whole section about the easiest ways to record a whole O&A show on one tape, but i found something better and more detailed to help you all out.

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00 | Not many people will have much in the way of O&A files. But I think serious thought should be given to finding a way to trade full shows and great bits at one central location. I know Rotty has a great FTP for the new shows. (thanks a million rotty) Lets get a group of people together and brainstorm the best way to do this.

| Psychopath Registered: Nov. 00 | yea, that's a good idea. I still have about 18+ video tapes full of 'WORST oF' that i still have to scope down. Alot of people have bits going via cd/wav/mpe which is great. I'll have the current material in high quality tape form for i dont' have time to do the other conversions. Hey if you get one of my tapes and can do it? Rock on.

I'll keep in touch and if there is a mailing list count me in. ps. I do have Jim Brueur on tape talking about fireworks in Long Island during a sharper image commercial...most of it anyway (the dog on the choke chain is definitely insane) | ||||

The lasted to the collection is the FULL LUNCH ON COMEDY CENTRAL, plus all his appearances on O&A. I'm gonna get cracking on More O&A material for this weekend. I know I have the bit where O&A blew the surprise of the STP concert for Radio Edit. That's when the whole NO EDIT mention policy went into effect. | Psychopath Registered: Sep. 00 | I have entire O & A shows recorded from 3-16-01 to today, even the "worst of" saturday shows. They are in wav. file format, and the file size is usually just under 23 megs. I don't know much on how to set up a site on the web to download them off of, but I use WINMX and you can download them off me. My screen name on WINMX is SBlueman. Just search for O & A wav. files. | Psychopath Registered: Oct. 00 | As far as Napster goes, I have a fairly large collection of O&A bits, songs, sounds, and all the DruBoogie and other mixes. Thanks to this message board, I finally found a way to convert all the Real Audio files I had downloaded from the old (possible to navigate) Foundry site. So, to those who would like to share, my napster name is the same as my message board name "spe5150". Feel free to take all you want, but don't get offended if I don't answer an Instant Message b/c sometimes I connect to napster just to share and I'm away from the computer while connected. Enjoy! I'm a syndication underground listener, and just bought a cable to connect from my sound card to my stereo and be able to hear the show on it. I haven't read your whole description of 'how to', but am wondering if taping the show VCR style is still possible. Respond when you can. Furthermore, I as well am on WinMX all the time, my screen name is Rizzi35. I don't know how many MB of the show I have, but I think it's a friggin lot. | Hanger-On Registered: Oct. 00 | I am definitely game on that idea...a word of caution folks...don't leave your hard-drive open to just anyone. Check out DirectConnect.com...I hope I got that right. You can leave open to expanse only O&A and not expose your hard-drive to hackers. Another site to check out is ShareSniffer.com...it will explain the rules. We are here to trade nicey-nice and we don't need any sh**heads disrupting this! | ||||
