What's the deal with HO-nique & Earl? Will the Opster ever get married? What's all the behind-the-scenes dirt at NEW that they can't talk about? And what the hell ever happened to Yoshi? Just in case we don't hear from them for a while, I just want to say how much they mean to me and how cool I think they are. (I think I know what people felt like when the Beatles broke up--or maybe more like Pete Best felt when he got the "Beatle-Boot" and then the band made it). Anyway... Guys I wish you all the best. The last 2+ years have been great and I know that most of us feel like we're friends of yours. You let us share a small part of your life with you and I couldn't imagine NY radio without you. I am sure the people who's pay is reflected by ratings would love to see O&A be able to take over Stewrn. The problem is that they are not allowed to let that happen. I would not worry about them leaving NY for any length of time. No show this big ever leaves the NY area. Anyone think they will broadcast in Boston for the time being? | O&A Board Veteran Registered: Sep. 00 | Does anyone else realize that this makes Ron and Fez the final WNEW survivors? Of the major line-up when O&A was number 1 (Sportsguys, Chick, O&A, Don and Mike and Ron and Fez)-- all the Sportsguys were replaced, the Chick was fired, O&A didn't re-sign, Don and Mike who aren't WNEW based anyway were fired for like a week by Opie and Anthony causing Ron and Fez to move to 7-11 for a couple of days and only recently Loveline came back to the station. Ron and Fez is really the only WNEW show to last the longest. The main reason is even thouigh Infinity has fucked them over time & time again they have a better chance of getting a larger syndication deal with Infinity than Clear Channel aka Cheap Channel and CC is knoown for not backing its employess when something controversial happens and that is a given with O&A. | ||||
