Don't ask me why I believed their call screener would tell me. Anyway, here's the transcript of the conversation: GP: He, just wondering if D&M are going to be live here in NY on Mon-dee. Call Screener: Sorry, ain't gonna happen. (In a sure of himself tone) Opie and Anthony are gonna sign that contract. GP: Really? (Playing to the guy) Too bad, I really wanted D&M on live in NY. | O&A Board Veteran Registered: May. 00 | maybe when calling the station, somehow george's phoneline was energized by a surge of electricity and instead of calling D&M today, he got the D&M show from next thursday. so this "contract" that he spoke of was announced last monday, june 4th, since his phone call reached the d&m screener from june 7th. hence he knew exactly what he was talking about. :) or maybe george is just an asshole:)  This message was edited by Faceman on 5-31-01 @ 7:56 PM | ||||

The said something to the effect of "We're (D&M) staying right where we are(7 to 11 pm). I (Don) told Opie that WNEW would resign them" I didn't believe for one second that D&M are happy to still be on tape delay in New York, but they seemed to be sure that WNEW would take O&A back. Don't think that if you do. I wanted to see if I could get any info on the contract deal. That's why I made the joke, "Just call me Drudge III:" I was doing some investigative reporting of sorts. The screener commented on D&M "finding another station." That's probably what they're going to do: Infinity Broadcasting is the second-largest radio broadcasting company in the U.S., so they, as you might have guessed, have a lot of stations at their disposal. If I think of any other analysi (the latin plural of "analysis, I guess...), I'll edit this post. Oh, yeah, and astute observation, King F-Tard. Go rape a donkey.
