They r not going to read the thousands of posts that have come b 4. As more and more people join, Mods will become increasingly stressed, and lots of good ppl are gonna hit the road. Willingly or otherwise. I made a very humble post in OT suggesting a complete solution at the heart of the problem, but of course...deleted...no discussion. I'd rather be called out, than dismissed. | ||||

This is more of a general statement, i have been here a long time and seen it all. And i seen hundreds of people come here for a week and post their great solution then they disappear like a fart in the wind. Input is good but don't think you have come up with the cure all. You been here a few days and you are biting off more than you can chew. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | Just a few thoughts, and I am not trying to set any policies, or play mod or what not. Now that syndication has come, there will inevitably come another board growth period. Much as the show will change slightly to better suit a national audience, the board will have more national appeal as well. We are going to have many many newcomers that will ask what most of us would consider "stupid" questions. They are not going to understand certain references and will likely post questions about them. There will be larger groups of people that have different "local" interests. For example, I am sure that soon enough, there will be a "Phillies games chat thread" or some such nonsense that most of us.... well, not really me being a Philly guy.... could care less. We have to understand that the show is new to these people, the board is new. What I am getting at I guess, is that the board is going to have to grow. The mods are going to be extremely busy, as if they weren't already, and we will all have to make some adjustments. Just like the boys are going to get the angry "what happened to the music" and "get these jerks off, they suck" phone calls, we are going to get those zombies that insist that O&A are ripping somebody off, whether it be Stern or some local guy. We are going to have to learn to bite our tongues a bit and let the mods handle things the way they see fit. Eventually, during this growth, the powers that be will gain a good idea of what things need to change or go away, and will set policies accordingly. Until that time, we all need to be patient, hospitable, and try not to make our mods and admins any crazier than they need be.  Still one spot open! DO NOT TRY to justify your actions in same thread.. contact that mod directly and try to explain to them that your intention wasn't malicious. Lesson number 2 of mod relations..
