| Hanger-On Registered: Oct. 00  | Living in central NJ, I get both the NJ and Philly stations well. I have had 102.7 and 94.1 programmed into my car for years.... Yesterday I had YSP (music) on and the DJ came on for a "lead in" or whatever it's called. He said "94.1-- Howard Stern in the morning and Opie and Anthony in the afternoon." I thought it was interesting because 1) they're using every means of promotion for the guys and 2) because they are associating the 2 shows in the same breath. Stern would freak out if he heard that!!! =) | ||||

| Hanger-On Registered: Jun. 01 | I would think Stern would freak too. I'm surprised that no one has told him about it yet. Maybe O&A are getting more respect with the new contract. I'm from Central Jersey too, how great did it feel to turn on your radio and hear O&A and not another 94 minute rock block of the same Van Halen and Metallica songs? | ||||

I dont think they are going to just start a war, just for the hell of it. However, with that said, I can't wait til the war begins. | ||||

Who gives a rats ass what the big nose jew thinks, he dont own the radio station & doesnt pay their salaries. And as for 94.1 promoting O&A did you think they wouldnt say a fucking word. Of course they are going to promote them. They are in afternoon drive for crying out loud. The 2nd most important part of the radio day!!! | Psychopath Registered: Jun. 01 | All I know is, WYSP is going to have to improve their bumpers - the intros - they seem, well, rushed together I guess. I guess it's a little thing and all, but this is WNEW's sister station and you would expect a little more. Maybe if Ken Stevens spent a little less time banging Melissa and a little more time worrying about what was going on at his stations this wouldn't be an issue?  Adopted by Rone on 6/6/01 | ||||

Granted, they almost took it too far, but if they give in on what O&A wanted before, they'd have had nothing to leverage them with during negotiations. Rotten, but that's business... | Hanger-On Registered: Oct. 00 | I get the static and the other station ruining my reception of WNEW also.... so it's nice to have 94.1 to supplement my listening. :) And, as far as the promotion thing goes, I only mentioned it because what the guy said was so interesting... I have yet to hear O&A commercials on YSP (I'm sure they're playing them but I'm not loyal to any one station so I've missed them thus far) and the lead-in thing was just weird-- lumping both shows in the same category and the same breath. | ||||
