Ok, folks, we're going to try this out for a couple of weeks, see how it works:

For our Flash savvy users on the board, we now allow SWF files in your posts. HOWEVER, your SWF file must conform to the pic regulations...less than 500 pixels wide, and no larger than 30K.

At no time though will we permit music in your SWF files. The last thing we need is 30 SWF files on a page playing different songs...plus I doubt most of you will keep the file under 30K with music.

So, try it out, have fun with it...don't abuse it.
Let's see how it works out for a week or so.

For those of you who do NOT have the Flash Plug in for your browser, I suggest you download it now from macromedia.com. I also suggest you get out of the dark ages.

Gotta question - I am new to Flash . . . I created my file I can view via my own WWW (meaning I have the plug-in), but yet when I post I am getting the Red X of death. Is there anything extra I have to put in my sig properties?

Way cool Jeff. Shavinbush, perhaps it has something to do with the size of your SWF. It's pretty wide.

Get your mouse off my sig pic!!

I thought that could be it, but it really is only 200pix (or 400pix I do not remember) wide, that is just the way it views from my site, when viewed in a Flash Player it is within limit!

What is the best editor for SWF files? Is it Macromedia? Is there a free editor out there?

Want to use the O&A EZPass lane? here's how (only for NY listeners, sorry PA):
The URL base is: http://ronron5477.homestead.com/files/______
For the html file, figure out these clues:
"OA"+previous phone screener before Stinky+previous phone screener's girlfriend's name+".html"

You can't edit them unless you have the
original FLA file, however there is a shareware
program called SWFBrowser or something
like that on FlashKit.com that you can kinda
break a SWF apart, I havent been able to
completely figure it out just yet.
