What on earth is that soundclip that O&A play a lot recently...it soundslike it's from Southpark. A few people have said it when talking to them. They played it a bunch during the Alcoholic Express song today. It sounds like one word, but I don't know what it is.

Thanks

Okay, I'm a tool. (I'll say it before anyone else does). I found out it's "Meecrob." But what the hell does Meecrob mean? I was away in college when this became part of the show, and figured I'd catch on, but nope.

Thanks.

tb

Mecrob- a Thai appetizer that Cartman finds so disgusting he considers it a curse word (which it is)...I really should make an OA Glossary site

No problem. I hate being "out of the loop." I always forget to watch the new South Parks, so you can image how frustrating it was trying to understand what the hell "mecrob" was!

Before I went to bed last night "Meecrob" was dominating my thoughts. It then occured to me exactly why O and A rule and are different from Stern, this is also the same reason why they will never be as big as him.
Stern's humor is so blatant, it is impossible to not get no matter how stupid you are. Even when Stern was good, his humor was either REALLY obvious double entendre or blatantly sexual stuff like butt bongo.
O and A can be like that, but they also function more like a group of your buddies would. They are full of obscure references and stuff that you have to dig to find the humor in. Playing a "meecrob" soundclip while Black Earl bitches is hilarious. and so is shit like the Connie Chung thing, but if someone just randomly tunes in for a half an hour, it sounds so retarded.
Meecrob forever!!!

whack- i m gonna disagree w/ u a lil. i think by o/a having like personal jokes w/ their listeners etc makes them more popular and will eventually cure AIDS.. ok im pushing it

MIke, I think Whack is saying that O&A aren't more popular with new listeners and casual listeners because they just don't get the joke. Unless you listen often and understand the inside jokes, and obscure references, it isn't going to be as funny as if you did. But, once you know the jokes, it gets much funnier.

So you're both right. Now kiss and make up.

And Cartman would rather eat a bucketfull of steaming shit before he'd eat another plate of Meekrab. (The Thai-food appetizer)

Out of range, Underground,
