| O&A Board Regular Registered: Sep. 00  | O&A had a great spring ratings period I know I personally don't care if they were #1 or got Mason & Kolinsky type ratings, but O&A moved up to #4 in all listeners 12 and older with a 4.5 share. Of course, they are still #1 in all the male demos that they care about. I just find it interesting that whenever they go down in ratings, many people (not here, obviously) are quick to say "Oh, the novelty is gone" "They are getting stale, you can only talk dirty for so long" and my personal favorite "They will not be around in 6 months" but when they go up, few people comment. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Sep. 00 | Let me preface this by saying I know shit about nothing, but I don't think they'll be #1 in the new markets when the summer book comes out. It's not that I don't think they will be popular eventually, but it might take some time. Humans are creatures of habit, we don't like to try different things, we fear change (I love Wayne's World) Honestly, how often do you try a NEW station when you're in your car on the way home. Almost never. If there is no promotion, then the only way more people know about O&A is through word-of-mouth, and that can be slow. Like the old man said to the hooker, just give it time baby.
