| O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01  | OK, with all of the speculation threads flying around again, let's hypothesize. What would happen if the mega radio stars O&A decide to move out of the area, say to sunny California? Nothing changes with the show, they are still live on WNEW 3-7, but they do their show from California now. What would be different? Other than the obvious things like Anthony wouldn't make Bar 9 appearances and Hospitaliano would find it even more difficult to find a ride to the road shows, what else if anything would change? Would you be as loyal of a fan as you are now? Would the show change any? Would it be better? Or would it be worse? Would the board change any? Without going into too much detail, I'd hazard a guess that O & A would operate differently broadcasting from any other market, but especially the west coast. Mainly due to the fact that they're east coast boys, born and raised. Whether working out of New York, or even Boston, the north east coast is their home, and they seem to feel and act the most comfortably here. They know the "area," and therefore can relate to its audience better. They'd probably feel like fish out of water if they were working out of the west, and I'm sure it would be evident in their demeanors. It would be disconserting for them which might inhibit their behavior. "How 'bout a little less asking questions, and a little more shut the hell up?" | ||||

The question is dumb, that's why its not taken seriously. 1) Ever hear of time zones? 2) I agree with Kid, why would they leave? Don't take offense to his reply, it was absolutely correct. 3) What possible advantage would there be to broadcast from a west coast station over an east coast station? It's certainly not a step up. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | OK, let's try to clarify the question here. The big word of hypothetical seems to have confused some. This isn't really happening people. Therefore too early for it to happen yet is irrelevant. Stupid question? Maybe, but what was asked was, what if? (That should help you FMJ seeing you got hung up on hypothetical). Most theorists will suggest no hypothetical question is stupid as long as the possibility of the action is realistic. Physically relocating to another part of the country is physically possible. As far as time zones, duh, I thank you for pointing that one out FMJ. Silly me for assuming that anyone associated with the show would figure out that if you wanted to be on live at 3pm in the east that you might broadcast starting at NOON California time. If O&A were to be on in NY from 3-7(EST), that means they would have to be doing their show in California from 12-4(PST).
