Not sure if this belongs here or in Enemies, but David Hinckley, writer for NY Daily News, is another one who doesn't get it. Newsday discusses WNEW air changes by putting Opie & Anthony in the title, and (correctly) mentioning the O&A syndication deal is reason D&M are changing time slots. Hinkley, who leads his little radio column with story about WNYE (NYC Board of Education radio station !!) that no one cares about, mentions Radio chick firing and D&M time shift with no reference at all to O&A. If you only read this, you'r think D&M wanted to be on in midday and that was only factor.

I've known for a long time that Hinkley is a dick who last knew anything around 1978, but it still annoys me.

Are you sure it's Hinkley who doesn't get it ? I read that article too, and what you failed to mention was that he wrote that Don and Mike are being moved to Mid-Days (not afternoons)at WJFK in DC. Put 2 and 2 together and it's easy to figure out the end consequences of the whole thing. D&M switch slots with R&F, and O&A go live in DC. Doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure that out.

Just another observation of insanity.

My point was that he DOESN'T mention about O&A going live in DC. If you don't know the story already, you'd think that D&M wanted to go midday and end of story. As Newsday and other mention, it was O&A that started the chain reaction.

Dragon -

It's addition by subtration... you even put it in your original post, saying that Hinckley correctly mentioned O&A's syndication deal.

Dust -
Maybe that's the confusion. It is 2 different articles, separated by a week or so, and put in different parts of paper.

here is link - you judge: Daily News article

Maybe it's my dislike for him, and my wanting O&A to get the appropriate props, but I don't know if Hinkley is putting 2 & 2 together, and since he writes for a big paper I was annoyed.

Maybe a little less coffee, and I wouldn't let it bother me. :)
