| Psychopath Registered: May. 01 | I have uploaded friday's show... my connection for my cable modem has been crap lately, so i been asking sblueman to upload the show for me. We have a whole system worked out, so everything should be fine. A little problem today though, my recorder didn't start, so i missed the first 2 hours of the show. I'm hoping sblueman has it... | Hanger-On Registered: Jun. 01 | ok guys - please don't flame me for volunteering - I've been reading for a while and am now working full time in Albany so will be here for a while. Anyway ~ I have finally set up a pc in NJ recording O&A and possibly the Sports Guys. (I wanna here farell blow up). I am still tweaking the settings of mpegrec in linux. Today I recorded 10 hours of silence while at work.. However - Once I get up and running I will have an archive of the show. Is there interest in Sports Guys? I can't do any streaming, because it's not my dsl connection, it is my parents who are letting me put a server in there house, but "don't want to get caught". I can upload to a mysterious place if necessary. Let me know if there is any interest. I am hoping to get the shows starting tommorow. Thanks, Joe in Albany. | Psychopath Registered: Sep. 00 | Ok....no use posting again so I just edited this one. Well, funny how things work out. My encode recorded the first 2:40 of the show and Tance got 86:20 of the second half. So I am re-encoding both together and splicing them where they need to be (They both sync up at the 147:35 mark on my encode) and hopefully we will have as close to a complete show as possible. But I was thinking, maybe we might need more people to encode. If for whatever reason the backup files are not needed people can just delete them. Just a thought.... | Psychopath Registered: Sep. 00 | I record at 24 kbps. I still get very good quality and the file size is usually around 40-43 Megs. I use total recorder and the lame.dll. That seems to work for me. I guess the concern would be the size of the file. But mulligan would know what is best for the site. O&A Replay 24/7! | Psychopath Registered: Mar. 01 | Albany Fan - I would take Blue's advice - The shows at 24Kbps are pretty good and only 42MB - While space is no problem at all (Still have 120GB out of 150GB left) Bandwidth is at a premium. I have reduced the number of connections to keep things going fast and the new routers seem to be lightning fast but I do not want to test the waters. Things have been pretty good since the new servers got here. (BY the way - all of the parts are here for the redundant server and it should be up today so there will be zero down time!!!!) Anyway - Thanks for the uploads guys. | ||||

| Hanger-On Registered: Jun. 01 | I figured that bandwidth would play an issue. My scheduled jobs didn't go this morning, so I didn't get sports guys yet..5am is way early. I did get O&A. My plan is to wait 24 hours before uploading to save your bandwidth and my time. If you would rather me upload imediatly I can do that as well. I am writing scripts to take care of the whole setup, so it's not really a big deal for me. Joe in Albany I should probably make a sigpic | ||||
