After three years of falling ratings, constant reruns, and city after city dropping it because of content or advertising problems, CBS has cancelled howard's show. So what does he do, he comes on the air and said that it was HIS decision to end the show's run. He is REALLY getting rediculous.

(He should've done a channel 9 type show anyway)

No wonder he got pissed at Les Moonves on today's show! All of a sudden he was cursing Les' name because he thought that Les is a bad decision maker. He was commenting on how CBS has an audience of 40+ year-olds and they don't want to put stuff like "The Bernie Mac Show" on the network. But what he really wanted to say is that he's pissed at Les for making the move to cancel his show. What a cry ass!

Howard now claims that he did not get canceled on CBS and he says that he is producing an entriely new show instead. Whatever! I still think he's covering up the truth.

Here's the latest spin. NOW Howard says that CBS MADE him do that show for three years. He says he never really wanted to do a "rehashed E show", but CBS insisted. He also said his rants toward Moonves were because they have a new show in developement, seemingly having nothing to do with Howard's show, that was supposed to seemlessly take over Howard's slot. Funny how when the show went on three years ago Howard never mentioned a rehashed, time filling show that he was forced into.(if you buy that one)It was supposed to be the greatest thing since sliced bread! Howard being forced to do something by the network suits? With everything else thats happened lately, maybe I DO believe it. I Can't tell where the truth lies anymore, and THATs the saddest part.

By the way, that phony idiot, Ste, is in general discussion now trying to start shit. I wonder which room that pussy will go to next after I run his tired ass out of there. He pretended to be O&A friendly at first, but thats over now. What a DEEK!

You know I was a Stern fan about when the show began and I remember him talking about doing it for the purpose of beating SNL and it was totally his idea. So was he lying then and telling us the truth now?

Also isn't 3 years a bit too long for a show to be in development for 11:30 on a Saturday night?

Saturday November 17- CBS: 11:30 Howard Stern's final show (Ha Ha)...NBC: 8-11 Rocky, 11:30- SNL (Billy Bob THorton/Creed)...ABC: Time to KIll...TBS: 7- Running man...SCI-fi: 1- When Worlds Collide...Cartoon NetworK; 7-8:30 & 8:30-10- New Justice League

What there not saying is that CBS gave him a contract to do anything in prime time up to
10 years or five years after his radio show stops.
It was in Variety!

This a blast

And now he's talking about this new show he's "producing" (read putting his name on the show) called Kane. I don't remmember the premise, but I just remmember laughing out loud at him when he explained it and saying "that piece of crap will never work.!"

... About the show...
from Reuters/Variety
November 16, 2001

UPDATE 1-Stern, CBS pact for sitcom
By Michael Schneider and Melissa Grego, Reuters
HOLLYWOOD (Variety) - Howard Stern's down, but not out, at CBS.

Stern's production company is developing a syndicated comedy that could fill the Saturday late night slot vacated by the recently canceled "The Howard Stern Radio Show."

"Kane" will follow the antics of an oddball Southern family and its strong-willed patriarch. The lead character's life is altered when his previously long-lost wife returns home to him and their group of eccentric children.

Ron Zimmerman ("7th Heaven," "V.I.P.") is on board to pen the script, while Stern will executive produce. The show would be distributed by CBS' sister Viacom company King World. CBS insiders promise the show will push some content boundaries thanks to its potential late-night time period.

"Kane" would be the first weekly sitcom in syndication in years. Once a staple of the genre ("Charles in Charge," "Small Wonder"), firstrun comedies have all but disappeared from syndication.

It's not yet decided whether "Kane" will be developed as an hour or half-hour series. There is also a slight chance that "Kane" could end up a candidate for primetime duty on the CBS network.

The deal comes as the hourlong syndicated "Howard Stern Radio Show," also distributed by King World, goes off the air after this weekend. Stern lambasted CBS CEO Leslie Moonves on his radio show Thursday for the cancellation.

There will be no seamless transition between the old show and the new show, however. No pilot has been shot as of yet, although sources said it's in "very active development." CBS executives are targeting the weekly comedy for later this season or the beginning of next season.

Insiders say CBS' owned-and-operated stations are on board to pick up "Kane." Beyond that, stations that ran "Howard Stern Radio Show" will be given first crack to clear the show. For now, those stations are scrambling to fill the post-Saturday night news slot with other programming.

"The Howard Stern Radio Show" now is seen in about half the country, although it premiered in August 1998 on stations representing about 70% of the country. The series lost clearances due partly to some local stations' concerns about the often risque content. Ratings also have waned over the years, and the show has been in repeats since August.

Producing a half-hour comedy would not be new to Stern, whose "Son of the Beach" continues to work for cable net FX.

Alright, let's see, one idiot at a time.

Lmaster, I wasn't talking about a deal for prime time. I was talking about how Howard said it was HIS decision to cancel the show. If that's true, why was he so mad at Les Moonves? Come on.

Ste, my favorite pin cushion, how do you know you're, "Very O&A friendly" if you don't know what that means? I've never heard you say one positive thing about them. And I never said you weren't allowed to post here. Do you know how to read? I LOVE when you come here. It gives me a warm feeling to know that even though I'm no genius, there's plenty more people out there, with the IQ of an icecube, to make me feel better. People like you, Ste! People that make me wanna puke. You're all balls and no brains, man. Think how great it would be if you had both! But, let's keep it simple for now. Start by at least having a REMOTE idea of what you're talking about. You do that? I might ask you for your autograph, joikoff.

Oh no. Another one of those boards where I have to deal with a bunch name calling angry little fucks every time you may seem to disagree.
He can attack Moonves all he wants. The bottom line he traded up for a much better deal. You want to fuck around? I'll bang you real hard.

You talk about being O&A friendly? If this board is for fans of O&A then why do you spend so much time talking about Stern. Whose the real fan?
Me or you pissants trying to get attention from their daddy?

Are you guys gay or something? I'm not homophobic, but nice try. What should I say about this new show? It isn't even on yet. Yea, Howard has power with CBS, SOTB is funny, so we'll see. I hope it does well. Your point? I'm a fan of Howard's as well. I just don't like what he's become. And usually the fans of Howard, who are less than intelligent come in HERE and start shit. I was commenting on that pathetic show he had on CBS, or was it E!? I couldn't tell the difference. Remember when he was crowing about that show? He traded up? Gee, i thought that show was cancelled! Wasn't talking about it the way he is now. But he sure is talking about Les and his "trade up". Is that the spin Howard put on it or something? And you're right Lmaster, I thought you were someone else. I shouldn't have jumped on you like that, but you sound kind of angry yourself. Pissants? Does Howard read this board or something? Besides, I've been a fan of his for years. What we speak is the truth. Think for yourself and question Howard.

We don't really. The other areas get much more activity than this area. We mostly RESPOND to the Stern posts. we try to enlighten. Pro-Stern posts are welcome as long as they are factual . When they are ignorant or uninformed we will respond. Simple.

Yeah, that's likely to happen. You wanna talk low ratings, I wonder how long that show would last. The reason Howard's show never had as many viewers as SNL is because a lot of cities cancelled it for content, and some were running it on Friday nights. If you look at the markets it was actually on against SNL, it was holding its own in the ratings. No one's happier than SNL it's off the air. Ellen Degenerous would kill to have ratings as good as that show, and Opie and Anthony would kill to get a show in the first place.

(cough) Private Parts the movie (cough) dopey SNL movies made more (cough) Howard predicted it would be the highest grossing movie of all time! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(When Howard jumped the shark in my opinion)

How the hell do you compare a television series, with a pregame show in a league doomed to fail? Didi you even see it? Didn't think so. I didn't either, were they terrible or something. It certainly isn't as significant. And as usual, you don't even acknowledge the negatives about Howard. Oh yeah, what do you like about O&A? You say you like them, but knock them every chance you get. You're a phony, pussy, liar just like
Howard has become.

I have the right to knock anything I want. This isn't Russia. It had some funny parts, but I was disappointed. This was when I was a rabid fan, and brainwashed like you. So nobody wanted to see a great movie more than I did. I thought he could've made such a better movie. 82 million total sales isn't that impressive. Keep in mind, I believe "cumulative gross" includes ppv, video rental, and the money acquired from the USA network after they bought the rights to it. Not positive though. Take a look at how much movies make. Pick a week, it only made 42 million TOTAL in its regular run at the box office, in America. Failure, no. But not exactly a blockbuster. Especially by Howard's standards at the time.

I've never heard you say one good thing about O&A. You sound exactly like a Stern drone. What do you like about them? I bet you've hardly listened.

OK, dickey, first of all, private parts was not a failure, you've admitted that and I've proved it... Now, on to what I like about o&a? Well, what I like about A anyway. I don't think Opie has all that much comedic skill and that's why I listen, to laugh, Opie doesn't provide that for me. I say fuck him but hey, what do I know, maybe he writes some bits. Anthony on the other hand, I love. I think he is extremely funny, a matter of fact, I wouldn't mind if Anthony took Artie Lang's place on The Stern show, that's how much I love him, hell, you could even say I'm gay for him. I love the guy in every way, I loved him when he went down to the Stern show for the Jackie contest, I loved him when I took him to my house and made love to him, OK so I didn't fuck him(yet) but I still find him to be the funny part of the o&ANTHONY show and that's what I like about o&A. Happy now, sweetie?

Oh yeah, about me not listening to them, after Stern goes off, what the fuck am I gonna listen to, that Linkin park song again? Exactly!!!
