According to the daily news (pg 104) the chick will be doing mornings w/ Bob Buckmann (q104.3) starting in January.

what is buckman trying to recreate his 80's morning show at WBAB when he had the fat news chick.yeah this is going to last.

Ms. Gold, known for her unique style of humor and intellect, most recently hosted the highly rated midday show at WNEW-FM/New York. Previous radio experience has included WRKO in Boston, where the show earned several industry awards and emerged as one of the most popular evening shows in the station’s history as a talk station.

Mr. Buchmann, who serves double duty as the Program Director of Q104.3, has been waking up New Yorkers for over twenty years. Prior to joining Q104.3 in 1999, Mr. Buchmann was the VP/Programming and Morning Show Host of WBAB-FM/Long Island.

Also joining Q104.3 in Morning Drive, will be stand-up comedian Chuck Nice and Butchy Brennan, who will serve as the show’s producer. Mr. Nice and Mr. Brennan were previously partnered with Ms. Gold at WNEW-FM.

Mr. Ross commented, "With Bob and Leslie together, our morning show will be
more entertaining than ever before. Leslie's wit and irreverence coupled with Bob's passion and expertise make for a perfect combination."

Ms. Gold added, "I'm thrilled to join Q104.3 and get back on the air to do the show. Doing it alone in my apartment everyday just wasn't as much fun." She continued, "It'll be a fun challenge to combine Q's music legacy with what we do. Perhaps for the first show we'll cut off Bob Buchmann's hair and donate it to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame."
Mr. Buchmann said, "We already have the rock ‘n roll; now we have The Radio Chick! Leslie’s energy and smarts are addicting."


Personally I hope she chokes on the cock she sucked to get the job.

I'll second Filzy.... something to listen to in the mornings. I won't repeat any additional info, but this simple fact makes me happy:
1) She is NOT competing against Ron & Fez or O&A.

I go along with Sloatsburg and Filzy.
a) I think she was funny (before Opie fired her the first time :). When she came back to WNEW she lost it; the show wasn't the same.

b)She's not up against O&A or R&F, so no conflict there

c) Mornings mediocre now. You can listen to Stern, who is no where as funny as he used to be, Sportsguys, who have been better than they used to be, but they can't make up their mind if they want to talk sports or do shtick, listen to Sports - national style, or mediocre music that talks too much.

Given those choices, Chick is at least worth a try.

I agree that the Chick was alot more funnier before she got fired the first time. There show was enjoyable to listen to. I'm looking forward to checking it out and see what's doing. The only thing that I'm gonna have a problem with is listening to that old senior citizen Bob Buckman. That guy is a tool....

Another bad morning show....You'd think in the #1 market in the country, you'd be able to find a good morning show to listen to. Oh well, guess I gotta go w/ Mike and Mike over on 1050, or even Imus when Sid is on.

But since she does a radio show wouldn't her getting naked do nothing for the show? Sure, you can surf to her site and see any pics that might be taken of her while she's naked, but once you see it, wouldn't it get to be a little stale?

I've listened to her show on occassion and most times I found it to be generally unfunny. Putting her on Q104 might help that station out ratings-wise because she'll bring all of her listeners, but I doubt she's gonna break any new ground there. Plus pairing her with Buchanan and bringing Chuck and Butch sounds like "too many cooks in the kitchen" to me - Do they really need that many people to do a morning show?
