Don and Mike announce new contract on today's show! They didn't release any details but said they got a good contract. Seems to be a big secret as to what they will be doing. Kind of funny that thet were off two days after O&A's contract was announced and then BANG! D&M have a new contract.

Comments welcome.

Yes, Phil I turned on my radio in my car and since I have it pre-set to 102.7 I heard Don&Mike. When I heard them mention contract I decided to listen during my drive. Wasn't it a big kick in the ass the way they were saying that their contract window negotiations only took like 2 days and then they had Ken Stevens on and they were all kissing each others' asses. Funniest things said "our ratings have exploded" by don&mike and the "well, you guys deserve it" by Ken Stevens. I could not belieeeeeee my ears. I am still in shock. The best though was the caller who called and mentioned O&A's contract. Did you hear how Don&Mike were speaking to him and they were contemplating just hanging up on the guy? What assholes....

Don and Mike's days are numbered, because eventually, Infinity is going to have to replace their show in some slots across the country.

It is a matter of time. The new contract must have some sort of "out" clause or something that will automatically move them to nights or middays nationwide if O&A "explode" nationwide, like we all know they will..

;)

Last night, they were talking about their new contracts, ans said that Ken finished them, but before d&M they had to get O&A done first. Don said that that was Ken's #1 priority. Nice to see Ken knows who buters his bread, so to speak.

Hey, I'm not a troll! I'm from DC and when D&M came on at 6pm with their "contract" I had a lot of questions. I hope O&A get a slot in DC, we had a "worst of" back in december but that's the only time I've ever heard them.

I heard something along the lines that D&M wanted a three-year deal, but Ken was only going up to 2, and that he gave them some "materials" to "improve the show" more. I translate this as Ken figures its gona take O&A 2 years to kick ass in syndication, in which time he doesn't have to scout around and look for another show to fill in for where D&M are basically getting the job done in a minimalist way. Whatever he gave them to "improve" the show has to be better than what they have now. I'll admit I tune them in here and there, and there have been times I thought a bit was good or funny, but most of the time its pointless banter and bullshit. It needs a lot of work to be successful, but I dont think Ken and Co. are looking for great success with D&M - just a show to "get by" with.

Keep this in mind...

Better (O&A) is the enemy of good enough (Don and Mike).

Think of this analogy: Why have your F-4 Phantom in the frontlines when you have the F-16 Falcon?

If Don and Mike were to suck in a deserted forest, would
they suck as bad?

Question on your pic. If Ant had a Phils jersey, wouldn't the number be 94 not 102.7.

actually 94.1 but I forgot and then got lazy and haven't changed it. BUT if you look at history of big signings in sports, the number they hold up is usually their current number and they don't always end up with it... OK OK SO I'M JUST FUCKING LAZY!!

I read on another thread that Don and Mike were going to be live in NY soon as part of their contract. Anybody else hear something about that? Sounds like O&A could be taking some of Don and Mike's time slots in afternoon drive.

Don and Mike obviously knew that O & A was renewing at 'NEW in addition to being syndicated. D & M has no problems with O & A, at least personally.
