Anyone hear the caller on Stern this morning when Maureen McCormick (Marcia Brady) was on? Some guy got through, and was asking her if she had a "mohawk or a Hitler Mustache"...He also used the term "landing strip" & managed to work in "leather cheerio". You could tell that Howard had heard these terms before, (I wonder where!), and he got rid of the guy pretty quick.

Signature? I don't need no steenking signature!

I heard this bit this morning. The caller also used the term "Mr. T" and "Don King in a leglock".

It just goes to show that not only the listener, but Stern himself is an O&A listener, since he didn't ask for any clarification as to the meaning of the terms, nor did he act like they were funny, which he certainly would have had it been the first time he had heard them.

Ah, Fuck it, who cares anyway?

When Jenni was on Robin used the term, What did we learn?

I don't listen to Stern, so I don't get to hear these things. I stopped listening because I don't have to be up that early, though I used to get up just to hear him. When he got lame, it became less of a priority. But anyway, the point is that any of you guys that listen to both shows and are part of the army should call in Howard like any other caller and just use simlpe O&A "technology". Keep it suttle so its not like saying BABABOOEY, but at the same time keep it obvious enough to make Howard uncomfortable. Little suttle jabs like this will hurt him the most.

yea it seems like alotta you guys who preach that you hate stern so much seem to watchdog him alot. not sayin your disloyal at all, but i think the best way to get rid of this fuckin washed up loser and the station that plays the worst music in the country is to simply STOP LISTENING. who cares what stern says or does, cuz like that one guy has in the quote, O&A ALWAYS WIN IN THE END, i think thats been proven at this point, so dont sweat it and lay back and enjoy the ride to Stern's eventual demise....

I hate Stern, but lets be honest here, the only way Stern is going away is if he decides he is going to retire. Haven't Stern Fans said the same type of things a you two just have for the past 20 years . . . and guess who is still on the air!

I listen to both shows, I love O and A, but Howard has a better show than the Don't Know Shit about Sports Guys . . . Some classic live performances as well!

oh yea of course the only way to fully get rid of him is if he retired, but if enough people stopped listening to his fuckin show, he might actually get thrown into the dreadful AM band with his nemesis, the mobyworm himself. cuz face it if sterns ratings plummet significantly theres no way infinity would still allow him to do the morning shift at gay-rock cuz they wouldnt want to lose alot of the people who turn in for the music, theyd just put another stupid dj there to spin more nauseating rock blocks. so yea people just tune off stern and listen to other radio stations or you fave cds in the morning and within a few years he'll be eating applesauce with a big fag cowboy hat on 770 bitterly talkin about how he "invented" everything.....

NJopposition, the reason a lot of people listen to Stern is because A) he's the only thing on in the AM. B) they want to see him fail, they want to be listening when the first shots are fired.

Personally, I stopped getting up for his show about a year after his movie came out. It just simply wasn't a priority anymore. And now that I am a loyal O&A soldier I can't wait to see him fall flat on his fucking face. I really hope O&A succeed. And I mean that on a personal level. I've never met the boys, but I know they are constantly going out and chillin with listeners and that is really cool on their part and is why I genuinely hope for their success.

Was I hallucinating, or were Jimmy Kimmel and Adam Carrola on the Stern show yesterday kissing ass? I thought they were (esp. Jimmy) O&A buds. They even seemed to be putting them down, talking about how 'other' talk shows owed something to Stern, but they personally had no problem admitting they fashioned their careers after Howard's.

I still listen to Stern because its a DIFFERENT show - its not like O&A. The difference for me personally is that at the end of the day, I can tell you what I heard and liked and laughed at on Opie & Anthony's show - I really couldn't tell you what occured on Stern's.

I don't usually listen to Hot 97 but with a new job I have the radio on in the morning. I have heard Star and Buckwild and I think they are pretty damn funny. Some of the show sucks but they can be rascist and its funny. Sterns show is absolutely terrible and the Sports Guys make my ears bleed.

Granted, I hate Stern as much as the next guy, but you guys have to realize that a lot of the things they use, they didn't make up, the don king thing i would have to go with O&A on, but leather cheerio has been around forever, balloon knot i don't know about, but i would tend to believe that is old too, and what did we learn? That's just a phrase. You guys are starting to act like the stern listeners who say everything O&A have ever done came from stern. The fact is that both were amazing innovators, maybe stern's time is up, but he still was great in his day, and he was very innovative, as O&A are now, they both steal from each other, but they are both also original.

The problem with Stern is that he thinks that there's nothing else he needs to do to entertain people anymore. He put out that shitty movie...that was the beginning of the end. When he came out as the gay King Louie XIV on Letterman and Leno, that was the topper (ooga!). He was great when he was still trying to entertain...but now, he's become everything he used to rail against.

So sad.

This is why I look for something to entertain me in the morning, and so far only a college radio station and a Central Jersey rock station has suceeded.
This is what happens when you let corporations take over radio, you get bad products from a station that use to rock.

You're a LAME ASS. If you think that you took away from the hilarity of Stern's Show in any way... go douche! His show still kicks ass and destroys the competition (millions of people laughing with him know what is good and what sucks). Why don't you go back 20+ years and do some homework on what Stern has or has not done already. I think you'll see the answer... NOT MUCH! BABABOOEY to you all... asses!

I don't care what Stern has done or not done in the last 20 years. Just because Stern did it 20 years ago doesn't mean that O&A should be forbidden from doing it today. God knows that Stern hasn't done his show in the last 4 years. If Stern won't do his show, somebody else will.

G'ahead, call O&A ripoffs. I don't care. I like O&A. I can identify with them. I can't identify with a whiny, egomaniacal, megalomaniacal wacko billionnaire. Stern fails in my book, no matter how successful.

Ya know, if Alexander Graham Bell were alive to see the cellular phone, do you think he'd be screaming that he invented the fucking thing and we should all hail him? Or perhaps would he be a man about it and acknowledge that someone took the ball and went with it - that he may have invented the damn thing, but necessity begets improvement?

to address the "what did we learn" post earlier in this thread:

"What did we Learn" has been done for a while. DEE SNIDER does it at the end of every show up in Hartford. We all heard about the guys down in Forida who are doing it..and i'm sure countless others do it as well. I'm not sure it's ripping off..i just think these people, including O&A, have had the idea for "what did i learn", and they all thought of the same thing, seperatly.

Robin that day, however, i believe was just giving a dig into O&A.

Who the fuck gives a crap about what Stern did 20 years ago. There is an expression that goes: Live for today. Today Stern sucks. I try to listen to him, but all that comes out of his mouth is take off your top, or I'll rate you for playboy. O and A live for today because almost every show tops the day before.
