Either it's a shitty place or there is an agent attached to it. I'll be damned if i have to give an agent one months rent as a fee on top of what a landlord is looking for. I'm mean 12%??? A one bedroom apt. goes for around $1200.00 and that doesn't include 1st, last and deposit..So yeah a big FUCK YOU to high rents and shitty landlords..GOOD LUCK S.E. I tried of driving From Brielle to Somerset every morning and sitting in traffic. I went to go look at a place today after work. I'm not able to stand up in half the joint & they want $700, which isn't all that bad. But I'd like some head room and not have to worry about knocking my head into recessed lighting. | ||||

| Psychopath Registered: May. 01 | You should be able to find a place in Somerset or Middlesex counties without too much trouble. I had a 2-bedroom apartment in a 2-family house a couple years ago in Avenel. The rent was $800. It was pretty typical for the area. Just keep looking in the papers, and if you see something call right away...don't wait til you get home. Go see the place at lunch time if you can. The early bird gets the worm. Also, stay away from Rental Network...all their ads are out of date. Unless things have changed drastically since I lived up there, you shouldn't have to pay an agent fee, unless you're looking only at apartment complexes. Good luck!
