Girls, you've heard this sick story about date rape drugs, and now one of my friends has fallen victim. She was sitting in a rather classy bar waiting for another girlfriend to arrive for a couple drinks, when she was approached by four men who asked her if she'd like to go to a party. She told them no, because she was expecting someone at the bar. She sipped her drink a bit longer and the next thing she knew, she woke up in a strange neighborhood in the backseat of her car, clothes mangled. She had no clue what happened to her, where she was, how she got there. We had been looking for her all morning because it wasn't like her not to come home overnight. FU DICKLESS, CAN'T-GET-LAID-UNLESS-YOU-RAPE-SOMEONE'S-MOTHER FREAK MOTHER FUCKERS!!! MAKE NO MISTAKE, YOU WILL BURN IN HELL AND I HOPE TO GOODNESS THAT SHE AND I DON'T SEE YOU IN THAT BAR WHEN WE RETRACE HER STEPS OF THE NIGHT. What is even sadder is that we are forced to downplay the seriousness of the rape, because we're so happy that she was not murdered after the rape(s). She has three young children at home. You know, I really hate to say fuck men, because I know not all men are like this, but my faith in the sex has been diminished quite a bit. I mean, you hear about it, but you honestly don't believe that there are monsters until you or someone you trust has seen them. So, I just wanted all the girls to realize that this stuff does happen and it is very real. I've learned a little more about this drugs. To everyone in the room, you appear to be drunk - speech slurred, movements slow and unsteady. You are walking around and talking, but you won't remember anything. That's scary. That you can be sipping a drink, then wake up from darkness in the backseat of your car, knowing that you were fucked by someone, just not knowing who, when, how, or why. Girls, please protect yourself. I know this sounds so old-fashioned, but DO NOT go to bars, clubs, parties, etc. by yourself. Always go with a friend who cares about you. Watch who you talk to when you are out and NEVER, EVER leave your drink exposed to anyone... It feels like this changes so much... Believe me, I've been thinking about taking her down to this bar and sitting in the parking lot to wait for these guys to show up again. I would intend on grabbing a license plate number, but I'm not so sure I would stop there. I'm a confrontational person, I think. It's sad that there are so many perverted scumbags out there who prey on innocent victims like your friend. I sincerely hope she pulls through this crisis. I think it's a good sign that she has confided in you. At least she's not trying to hide or supress what happened. She's lucky to have a good friend like you, and that may make all the difference. The two most important things for her to do are talk to the police and not blame herself. She's the victim here, and she can't ever let herself feel that this was somehow her fault. Yeah we bitch and jerk each other off over radio shows, but there is no room in this day and age for shit like that. THATS JUST PLAIN FUCKED UP. Sorry for the pain and emotional distress you and your imediate friends and family are going through. I only hope you and your friend can get through this with dignity. It is a horrible experience i would not wish on my worst enemy. What sucks is that most people only remember the bad things in life(never the good) and she will carry that memory with her for a long time.
