| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00  | A bunch of FU's going out to the night of Aug. 8. I got in a car crash while in the backseat of my friends car. FU to him for not seeing the person that he ended up hitting head on. FU to the situation because now my friend that was in the front passenger now cant move the right side of her body, and is swollen everywhere. Please pray for her to get better. And FU to me for not seeing anything cause i was dozing off in the back seat. The crash happened right in front of the freehold mall, litterally 1 minute after i got in the car. I had my fuckin hand on the seat belt, about to put it on eventually, when it happened. I flew straight into the driver's seat, putting 2 cuts next to my right eye that went through every layer of skin into my fatty tissue. A centimeter to the left and my right eye would be gone. So im lucky in that regard. However, it sucks cause im definitely gonna have 2 scars, 1 on my cheek and 1 near my eye. Always wear your fucking seat belts, and put them on right away. | ||||

Hopefully the person who stitched you up is good at it, makes for less scarring. Another thing that's good for them is vitamin E lotion. Trust me, I've been stitched back together WAY too mant times! Actually, ClusterF, while it sucks you didn't put your seatbelt on, you're probably somewhat lucky that you were asleep. People tend to get more injured by tensing up and bracing for the impact. That's why you'll often see those dick-wad drunk drivers WALK AWAY from horrible, horrible accidents. They had no idea that anything was going to happen and needless to say they were plenty "relaxed." Spork is right though, you're probably lucky that you were dozing. If you had been fully awake, you probably would've braced for the crash and been more seriously hurt. This is a good reminder for all those who refuse to wear their seatbelts "because it's my body and nobody can tell me what to do". There's a reason cars come equipped with seatbelts and there's a reason there's a law requiring us to wear them. Nuff said. Take care and I hope you all heal quickly. Dont you get Sporks sarcastic blast on your ass) surgey does wonders these days, so don't agonize over the scar. I have to ask a question though CF. Why are you pissed at yourself for dozing off in the back seat, if the accident happened within a minute of getting in the car while reaching for your seatbelt? | O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | Hey, i just want to thank everyone who has replied so far to this thread and wished me and my friend well. Its been a couple days since the accident and it looks like i got fucked up by a gang or something, but other than that im ok. I am bored out of my mind cause my doctor doesnt want me to do anything too "strenuous", which sucks, but doctor's do know best, so i'll listen to her. Unfortunately, my friend is still in a lot of pain...she is seeing an orthepedist tomorrow, so hopefully she will be better soon. And to answer o&aswallow's question, i was dozing off, i didnt see it coming at all, and yes it might sound weird but my arm was across my body where the seatbelt should have been at the time of the crash. I always put the seat belt on right away when i am in the front of a car, but for some reason, i dont do it right away in the back, i put it on, but eventually, not right away. Guess its a feeling of comfort back there...not anymore though lol. Anyway, I guess it was better that i didnt see it coming, because my other friend did and she's messed up right now, probably from being too tense. I am freaked out now when i get in another person's car though...for example i was with my mom yesterday and someone put their brakes on, and i freaked out telling her to stop. Its gonna take a while to get over this but i'll be fine.
