O&A Board Veteran Registered: Feb. 01	This hasn't been too much of an issue as of late, but I think it's time to do some house cleaning on the statuses. I have been trying to clear out people who have old Strikes left over as a part of that new policy. And I have also been cleaning bits and pieces of the longer statuses which have been there for ages. We also have to stop with some of the brutal personal shit in the statuses. I'll admit, I'm as guilty as anyone of putting a few really harsh statuses in place when I had problems with people, but that doesn't make it fair. Our personal problems or issues should not be reflected to that point in user titles. I believe in the Faith... that can save me. I believe in the hope and I pray... That someday it may raise me... above these badlands Over The Limit

LOL I was just going to ask something today about statuses of people who leave and are banned and if their continuing statuses are a waste of resource space. O&A Board Regular Registered: Aug. 00	I have removed statuses of people on good behavior already. The statuses I have given out. The only one who is left is SOBERMAN. Funny thing is that when i have him that status (YUO=ALKOHOLIK FAGOT!!11!), I didn't even take his username into consideration. It wasn't til after I did it and saw that under his name that I realized how funny it was. Question is, has he been a well behaved poster lately? If so, I will remove the status. Let me know. Other than that, I will remove strikes, but as far as personal shit, I have no clue what is real, and what is not. I personally never put real info in statuses. BTW... Froy, did you read Straws whining on the board, or did she IM you to whine directly to you? AIM: SmarterChild Write To Me Here I think it all started with the Declaration of Independence -- the idea that we had the inalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. That pursuit is what took America from the revolution to the computer age in 200 years. But the progress has come at a price. The obvious being the people that were exploited to make it possible; the not so obvious being us, the first group of people that were given no obvious frontiers to conquer. We hear stories that about the good old days that don't seem to apply anymore. It's a generation gap that leaves us without role models. But the bright side is that without role models, there are no roles. Maybe that's what the 60s were all about -- getting rid of the roles. But what do we replace them with? Without any guidance, what do we replace them with? Without any guidance, the choices become overwhelming. Sometimes it just makes everything feel hopeless. So we destroy our bodies in the search of an ideal. Try to salvage relationships that don't work. We feel we must do something, instead of doing something that we feel. It is the prison of self-imposed momentum, and the sad part is that we get used to it. It reminds me of a song I heard the other day. It's called "The Going Nowhere Fast." But the people I have met here have shown me another side of Nowhere. They've pointed out the beautiful irony that stagnation makes it easy to stop and smell the roses, if we just let it. What would we be if we had nothing to rebel against? Well we could finally be ourselves, the first group of people who stopped looking for the answers long enough to appreciate the questions. And all we have to do is to make our own Declaration of Independence. We can embrace the right to life and liberty by simply realizing that happiness exists -- not to pursue, but to accept. After that the only challenge would be to make sure with the rest of our lives that we weren't just another fad. I don't know, it's an idea. What do you think?

I told her I remembered it being mentioned by her too, but couldn't remember when. And, there has been much rumor bandied about regarding "mod status" for those who were OTL contributors...including that FN Moron was made mod b/c Froy wanted him to handle OTL's Music section, which was utter bullshit, but making the rounds, never-the-less. I think alot of that talk and hoople came from her. She's dangerous, b/c she'll drop rumor and innuendo just to see where things lie...every move and conversation she makes is for one purpose...to get something or find out something, all for her "ascension" thru the ranks. She's a political creature, whether conscious of her antics or not, and that is the way she works, and it will never change, so people should just realize her "deal", take what she says with a grain of salt, b/c she spins things mightily for her to look good, and in her mind, she can do no wrong. I have no doubt in her situation with Gonzostyle, most is her doing, with gameplaying and so on. She uses info like a weapon, and scrounges around in the gutters accumulating that info thru IM's and befriending people. That's her M.O. Here's a tip that will save you alot of grief and time... Don't believe in and depend on anyone but yourself.

I have never had the slightest intention of granting the people who do things for OTL special status or privelege here. They are two separate entities and issues.
