OK to tell you the truth here, I don't know if asking gonzo to step down is the answer. I am adamant about my previous statement that I don't think he would hurt the site whatsoever. He's been here far too long and had things happen to him because of and around this site that would make anyone else just hang it up and give in, but he sticks around. I know if I had the major personal or physical problems that he has had over the year or 2 and I was a mod here, I would sure as hell quit, but he hasn't done that, which shows loyalty. I also think its possible that pb and/or straw cooked up this whole, "blame gonzo because of personal problems thing" than him actually telling her about things bts. That said, I don't believe the PB thing. She knows how to play the he said/she said game when she needs to. The fact that joey would think he could have been named as the leak by her is proof of that. and I ask you, if joey was named, knowing their history, would she have been believed? I think gs, who has a sorted history with her, should be given the same consideration. The sean thing, I don't know what to think about that. Someone obviously told him about that one comment, but was it gs, was it not gs, I can't honestly say. Obviously the deck is stacked against him since he is a good friend of sean. That said, I still don't know if he's guilty. I don't think that in the face of no concrete evidence we can honestly, or in good conscience, crucify gs and ask him to step down. I, for one, even though certain things could point to gs, don't believe it. So if we are voting whether or not he should step down, I say no, I don't think he should have to step down, unless other evidence against him comes to light.

and because you couldn't find it gs, I'll post sean's comments here, this was in response to ftl's previous statement...Quote (FollowThisLogic @ Mar. 22 2002,5:07)
And one thing for everyone.... those who think you know what you're talking about, but don't, look really fucking stupid in this thread. REALLY fucking stupid.

Heed your own words and kindly go fuck your mother out in the rain. You don't like us, you think it was good we left suck my dick and call me Harry and while you are at, get all of your info straight before you try and make a stand.

Now that I look at it, maybe it wasn't as big a deal as I thought it was. It just struck me as odd that he directly alluded to a comment ftl made bts

Facey… that was ½ joking and ½ serious. I think that she is that psycho to name me, but that claim would have been laughed at since I was not talking to her during this whole rumor spreading / leak.

First off.. the "think it's good they left" is thrown around EVERYTIME someone walks away from the board
Second.. I have to agree with Facey.. I think Froy's jumping the gun too quick on removing anybody.
THIRDLY... has Gonzo been removed, or was his mod status yet AGAIN shut down last night??
Because if he's been removed there's little point in talking to him back here

You know what, people?

As far as BTS is concerned, I am fucking DONE with it.

I will either figure it out myself, or have FTL remove my ability to access/read BTS.

Later!

I think it all started with the Declaration of Independence -- the idea that we had the inalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. That pursuit is what took America from the revolution to the computer age in 200 years. But the progress has come at a price. The obvious being the people that were exploited to make it possible; the not so obvious being us, the first group of people that were given no obvious frontiers to conquer. We hear stories that about the good old days that don't seem to apply anymore. It's a generation gap that leaves us without role models. But the bright side is that without role models, there are no roles. Maybe that's what the 60s were all about -- getting rid of the roles. But what do we replace them with? Without any guidance, what do we replace them with? Without any guidance, the choices become overwhelming. Sometimes it just makes everything feel hopeless. So we destroy our bodies in the search of an ideal. Try to salvage relationships that don't work. We feel we must do something, instead of doing something that we feel. It is the prison of self-imposed momentum, and the sad part is that we get used to it. It reminds me of a song I heard the other day. It's called "The Going Nowhere Fast." But the people I have met here have shown me another side of Nowhere. They've pointed out the beautiful irony that stagnation makes it easy to stop and smell the roses, if we just let it. What would we be if we had nothing to rebel against? Well we could finally be ourselves, the first group of people who stopped looking for the answers long enough to appreciate the questions. And all we have to do is to make our own Declaration of Independence. We can embrace the right to life and liberty by simply realizing that happiness exists -- not to pursue, but to accept. After that the only challenge would be to make sure with the rest of our lives that we weren't just another fad. I don't know, it's an idea. What do you think?

I really don't like what happened here. In essence you took the word of someone, who you don't trust to post on oa.com and is known for lying and causing shit, than someone who has shown nothing but loyalty to this site and its members. That doesn't fly in my book, not one bit. I think I have to sit back and relax and think about things for a while because right now, I'm too pissed to do anything but walk away and I don't want to do that. I really don't.

edit:Ok I've had time to calm down a little and I've thought about things and I'm sorry if I came on too strong in my post. Im just a little pissed at the way things turned out because after all, I started this whole thing.

Now that Eddie is gone, there isn't a person left that I don't trust with what is said back here.

I took the word of someone who I don't trust, but who's evidence was very persuasive. I took that with a grain of salt.

After speaking with some of you, and hearing what you had to say about the CDIH post, I was led to believe those initial suspicions.

He couldn't even say to me that he didn't leak any info. He couldn't even deny it. All he could do was pass the ball and say that it was something that had been going on and that other people may have done as well.

Is this site better without Eddie as a mod? Without a shadow of a doubt. Is this site better without him as a poster? Absolutely not.

I leave it at that, I trust each of you, every single one of you. I leave it at that. You know you have my trust, otherwise you wouldn't be here.
