So I was looking for feedback on the ones I thought would look the best. And I don't trust the design of the site to just a vote. Did I put up a poll and say people could vote? No. I said if anyone had a comment on the design to post and make themselves heard. And when people bring up sound points I listen. When people say they thought the "C" in the current banner looked cropped, or when Gooch says to me that the wording in Dudley's banner is a bit hard to read I take that weighs on my mind. So take it however you wish. It wasn't personal and you know that, so don't make it out to be that way. I believe in the Faith... that can save me. I believe in the hope and I pray... I didn't bother to count, but just by looking at it, it seems that Moron's banner has more votes than all of the others COMBINED. I'm going to have to agree with others here, Froy. This seems like another "it's my board, I'll do what I want" deal. I've told you many times - and obviously you don't want to listen - that such an attitude alienates the members and WILL BE the downfall of this website. You obviously don't care. If you want to run shit your way, without any regard for what your members OR your mods - the people you supposedly respect and trust the most - then don't try to bullshit us by saying there's going to be a new attitude... don't agree that it's a mistake to run the board this way and then CONTINUE to do so... I've said it before and now I'm saying it for everyone to see - this attitude is why people have left. This attitude will cause more people to leave. And by the look of it, some of them could be mods. A message board is pretty pointless if it's for one person. Froy, are you going to wait till you're the only regular member posting before you realize that?  | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | Okay, I've been thinking. I don't think ANY of the current banners are the one. Including Moron's (sorry man). No offense of course... I just don't think it's.... IT. Think about it. In the last contest, when the winning logo was posted, it was just PERFECT. There was no question that it was the winner. NOT ONE of the banners posted so far really give me that feeling. Remember, this is a banner we're going to have to look at ALL THE TIME, on every page, every time we visit the site. And I haven't seen one banner yet that I'd like to look at every day. I think the contest should just GO until a banner is made that we just know should be the one - no vote, no mess, no bullshit, just when we see one that makes EVERYONE - Froy, mods, and members - just say WOW... that's the one. A week isn't enough. Just let the contest go, like the last one. Edit - okay the last contest was over in a short time, but there were a lot more logos posted in a shorter time... and as I said, it was over when the winner was posted and everyone just knew it. However, the way in which you handled it was (or at least appeared to be) with little thought. Froy, think about all the times you've gotten pissed at Sean for acting on impulse. When you asked for our opinions on the new colors of the site and whether we liked them or not, a couple of us expressed reservations about them and said maybe we should hold off on debuting the new site. We were greeted with, "well I like them, we're going with it". That basically told me, and others I've talked to, "Thanks for your input, but I'm doing what I want". Now people are expressing which banner they liked more than the others and again comes the refrain, "Thanks for your input, but I'm doing what I want". Now you are well within your rights to do that, it's your site afterall. But don't say that you want input when you seemingly don't care about what people say. If the contest was just going to be about what you want, then you should have had people email you the logos and then chose which one you liked the best. Not have people express their opinion and then shitting on said opinion. That's not good for the site, everyone knows that. I asked for opinions on the banners I thought fit the layout best. Had one banner stood out in my mind as the best, as a clear cut winner I would have put it up and declared a winner. I wouldn't have asked for opinions. I didn't act on impulse, I watched the thread daily and looked at every single entry. I didn't want a blind yes or no, or this one sucks, or that one is great. If I had wanted that I would have put it to a simple vote. I was undecided and so I asked for feedback hoping to get constructive comments. I believe in the Faith... that can save me.
