Sorry, can't say I did it or even know which one is responsible. I do know it was talked about as a joke last night, but that's about it.

I'm sure whoever did it will let him back on soon enough. If not, he could always IM one of us to let him back on. Oh wait, Slash doesn't have AIM. What the hell was I thinking?

Anyway, it's not like there is anything worth responding to right now so he's not missing much. :-D

Don't make me angry.
You wouldn't like me when I'm angry.

I did not ban him, but I have lost a lot of respect for him after the stunt last night. If that is his sense of humor it sucks.

Sorry Slash I am not going to hide the fact it was a shit move.

1. I guess it is a good thing that I never put one ounce of stock in whether or not you respect me.

2. What stunt? I planned GS' birthday party, but, did I go? NO. I planned it so all the mods, who wanted to, could get together and have some fun. You should be thanking me for taking the initiative to make it happen.

3. Yea, my idea of humor is to organize a get together for my fellow mods. I am sooo seeing where that was a shit move.

I think it all started with the Declaration of Independence -- the idea that we had the inalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. That pursuit is what took America from the revolution to the computer age in 200 years. But the progress has come at a price. The obvious being the people that were exploited to make it possible; the not so obvious being us, the first group of people that were given no obvious frontiers to conquer. We hear stories that about the good old days that don't seem to apply anymore. It's a generation gap that leaves us without role models. But the bright side is that without role models, there are no roles. Maybe that's what the 60s were all about -- getting rid of the roles. But what do we replace them with? Without any guidance, what do we replace them with? Without any guidance, the choices become overwhelming. Sometimes it just makes everything feel hopeless. So we destroy our bodies in the search of an ideal. Try to salvage relationships that don't work. We feel we must do something, instead of doing something that we feel. It is the prison of self-imposed momentum, and the sad part is that we get used to it. It reminds me of a song I heard the other day. It's called "The Going Nowhere Fast." But the people I have met here have shown me another side of Nowhere. They've pointed out the beautiful irony that stagnation makes it easy to stop and smell the roses, if we just let it. What would we be if we had nothing to rebel against? Well we could finally be ourselves, the first group of people who stopped looking for the answers long enough to appreciate the questions. And all we have to do is to make our own Declaration of Independence. We can embrace the right to life and liberty by simply realizing that happiness exists -- not to pursue, but to accept. After that the only challenge would be to make sure with the rest of our lives that we weren't just another fad. I don't know, it's an idea. What do you think?

Quit the shit Slash, you planned a party and did not show up. We all talk around here through the Internet by typing on our little keyboards, but in the real world, which is the reality we live in, who in their right mind plans a party and does not show up? Please don’t play innocent and don’t try to twist the situation in your favor. It is cut and dry.

At the very least, you should of said I will not be attending. But I guess you are too good for that.

Slash, play all the verbal gymnastics you want.

I don't know who you are trying to convince, I hope not me.

I think what you did sucks.

You are the one who is the most vocal about what he does not like; you are the one who most needed to attend a meeting.

Now go and correct some spelling and try to use your vulcan logic to convince the others that what you did was on-the-level and that you are really a straight-shooter.

You win the perversity prize.

Congratulations.

A meeting?

Where did I say that it was to be a bitch session about the board?

I called it a 'get-together' for the mods, in lieu of the Anny Party that was being blown off. Had I said, "let's all get together and discuss the future of the board," and I didn't show up, you would have a point about me being most vocal about things that I don't like etc.. and not showing.

I let all the others influence the date/time/location without having any input personally.

"Sometime in May" had to do with it being the month of the board's 2 year anniversary.

"Bazooka's" was a starting point because I knew previous Mod "get-togethers" were held there.

BM, your logic is flawed, your motive is suspect, and your point is moot.

One other thing, delete another one of my threads, and I delete your account.

ok... this is getting silly... i honestly can't believe any of you actually thought SLASH was going to attend this "get-together"... everyone of you replied to the original "Bazooka's" thread with questioning the validity of Slash's suggestion... allow me to quote a couple...

BM posted:

I'm wary that Slash is suggesting that he show his face someplace.

However, if this is serious, I'm in for meeting, but I will tell you that Bazooka's is completely and totally out of the question.

...most of the replies you people gave are right along those lines... completely aware of who was arranging this little meeting... hell VG said (and I'll quote it for you)
quote:

i'll be there with bells on
so, does that mean that VG should have been banned too? ...she actually said she'd be there, but I think most of you knew better than that. Slash never said that he would attend. He was just trying to help organize something...
VG also posted:
quote:

look at you being mister party planner.
so, it was fairly obvious to me at that time that he was planning this event...not necessarily attending it... did anyone of you ask him personally if he planned on attending? Well, I did, and he gave me an answer. Contrary to TOG, Slash does have AIM & does have E-Mail, so anyone of you could have contacted him & asked for yourself.

Personally, I think the idea of us having a Mod meeting anywhere is completely rediculous... it's a fucking message board for crying out loud. We have our own little section called BTS for discussing board policy and whatknot. There is absolutely no reason for us to ever meet in person to discuss things that pertain to this board and/or how it's run. That is what BTS is supposed to be for... or do we still have a "LEAK" in here?

Respect is gone? Wow, I am really ahead of you on that one. I lost any respect that I had for you when you refused to answer questions back here many months ago that was directly asked of you. You know damn well that you read the question aimed at you, but, you cited all the gay talk between Gonzo and myself as a reason that you didn't even read the thread. You lied about that, by using that as an excuse, and you accuse me of not being a straight shooter? Yea, maybe you should worry about yourself, and your integrity.

Joey, if you really thought for a second that I was going to be in attendance, you truly are a dumb fuck.

If you and Buttmunch, or whoever contacted me and asked me if I was going, I would have told you everything that I said here. I don't lie.

Bottom line, the 'get-together' was not about me, it was about all the mods that wanted to touch base, in the physical world, to do so. I merely set it in motion to happen.

If you didn't enjoy the company that you were in, that is not my fault.

Thanks Moron, I didn't know that you were posting.

However, I just wanted to point out that it was never intended to be a "meeting." I don't know how it was ever construed as being a "meeting."

It was a get-together, in place of the Anny Party. It was not about discussing the message board etc.. It was just supposed to be a night out with the people who manage this message board.

As you stated, everyone knows my AIM back here ever since the Mod Chats we had a couple of months ago, it is not my fault that some people didn't use it in the 3+ weeks that this was being planned.
