Did anyone notice the Battery Acid candy they were selling at the store all the girls went into?

Now on to something none of you probably care about:

Yippy I saw Alanis...and I found out she was rolling in the hay with Kevin Smith when they made Dogma and her song Front Row is actually about him.... :)

why do I say I'm fine when it's obvious I'm not?
why's it so hard to tell you what I want?
why can't you just read my mind?

Everyone has already said everything, but yeah, it was a hilarious brilliant film. Loved the good Will Hunting 2 scene and "In prison, he'll be the pie" was quite possibly the funniest line in movie history. Pissed that I missed the Alanis part, cuz I told my friends there would probably be something after the credits, but they forced me to leave...douchebags. Anyways, I'm definetly gonna see it again so I will get to see that part. Hope its #1 this week!

I loved the movie, but i feel bad that i could not contribute to its box office sales as me and my buddy were forced to purchase tickets to the woody allen movie being that were are merely 14. It's total box office sales are going to be largely underestimated due to all the kids like myself sneaking into the flick.

Another obscure reference. Jay says something similar to or exactly(i'm not sure) to "Fly Fatass Fly." This is an obvious reference to Mallrats.

And who cares what that bitch dike reviewer thinks. She is one of the people that say Fight Club was a stupid movie about violence and that the Evil Dead Series were absolutely horrible.

I wish I had seen this thread earlier, I would have made a point to go see the movie again yesterday to get my free poster.

Anyway, great movie, excellent way to "end" the View Askewniverse. (I say "end" because this is only the end of big screen live action movies set in the universe. See Clerks: Sell Out for more on that...)

Anyway, some more little details...

The scene of Bluntman and Chronic that they were filming was scene 37.
I think the jewel thieves were celebrating their 37th robbery.
Nun Carrie Fisher had a statuette of the Buddy Christ in her car.

In the first scene, Jay & Bob interact with Randall and Dante, from Clerks.
In the second scene, they interact with Brodie from Mallrats.
In the third, they're talking to Holden from Chasing Amy.
And in the fourth scene, they meet George Carlin who was in Dogma.
Coincidence??

A couple things that woulda been cool, if at the end Olaf jumped on stage and started singing Berserker.
Also, at the end when everyone is coming out of the theater it would have been cool if Scott Mosier (playing the original Willam) had bumped into or fought Ethan Suplee (who played the other Willam).
And it would have been great if, when Jay & Bob were sneaking into the animal building, they had pulled the "Why are we walking like this?" gag from the first and second episodes of the animated series.

Still, great movie, MUST GO SEE AGAIN...

And the virus continues to spread....

Yea, that sucks that it wasn't #1. But do we really want Kevin Smith movies to be summer blockbusters? If you consider this a cult film, 11+ mil aint bad.

My friend told me that they were together during the filming of Dogma, any more info I get I will post. But here is the song Front Row which she wrote for him:

Front Row
-Alanis Morissette

Intro:I know he's still blood but you can still turn him away you don't owe him anything...

Do you go to the dungeon to find out how to make peace with your days in the dungeon
Writing a letter to ya didn't make me feel any more peaceful then how I felt when we weren't speaking
Because I didn't cop to what I did
I can't love you because we're supposed to have professional boundaries
I'd like you to be schooled and in awe
As though you were kissed by god full on the lips

Chorus:I'm in the front row
The front row with popcorn
I get to see you see you close up

Slid into the ditch
I have this overwhelming loss of ambition
We said let's name thirty good reasons why we shouldn't be together
I started by saying things like you smoke you live in new jersey
You started saying things like you belong to the world
All of which could have been easily refuted
But the conversation was hypothetical
I am totally short of breath for you why can't you shut your stuff off...

Chorus:I'm in the front row
The front row with popcorn
I get to see you see you close up

For a while I'm speaking
You know how much you hate to be interrupted
Maybe spend some time alone to fill up your proverbial cup
So that it doesn't always have to be about you
I've been wanting your undivided attention
I like the fact that you're nothing like me
Are you not burdened by the lack of perspective people have of your charmed life

Chorus:I'm in the front row
The front row with popcorn
I get to see you see you close up

Hey i'm not mad at you guardian
I'm mad at myself for spending so much time with you and your jeckyl and hydeness
I'm glad i figuratively slapped you on the wrist
You laughed a wicked laugh and said come here let me clip your wings
Raise the roof he yelled Yeah raise the roof I yelled back
No thanks to the soap box
Having me rile against them won't make an ounce of difference...

Chorus:I'm in the front row
The front row with popcorn
I get to see you see you close up

why do I say I'm fine when it's obvious I'm not?
why's it so hard to tell you what I want?
why can't you just read my mind?

Clare Forlani also wasnt in the movie...my guess is that they probobly saw mallrats as a bad career move with all the bad reviews that it and they got.

But mallrats ruled!

Yep, Claire really made a mistake with Mallrats. Good thing she helped her career with such classic as Antitrust and Boys & Girls. Yep, it's not as if those two are quoted constantly and made a star out of an unknown.

This movie was so great, I am such a huge Kevin Smith film. I went down to Leonardo, NJ to watch the last day of filming (They filmed Jay's Rap that day). And yes, the Berseker shirt is available from the Secret Stash in Red Bank, I own it. I wore it to the first sneak preview in NYC about a month ago. I have seen it four times so far, and I can't wait to see it again. I loved the Dante scenes, especially Vincent Pereria's "Are you even suposed to be here today?" And also "I'M THE BITCH?!" Haha, the whole movie was great!
