Fabrice Morvan - who was one half of the shamed duo - is staging a comeback by singing karaoke from a mobile shower stall. Morvan, 35, will begin touring this week in a concert tour called Malibu Run Showerpalooza. He'll also emcee the shows, in which fans are invited to jump in the shower and buy a video of their performance. "We asked ourselves, who in the music community sings but is almost in a position to make fun of themselves?" said organizer Stuart Kirby. "Fabrice immediately came to mind." Milli Vanilli - the German duo of Morvan and Rob Pilatus - exploded onto the scene in the late '80s with their smash hits, which included "Girl You Know It's True" and "Blame It on the Rain." But they were forced to give back a 1990 Grammy when it was revealed the pair had lip-synched their hits. A down-and-out Pilatus died of a drug overdose in 1998. Fabrice is currently recording a solo album - with his own singing voice. | ||||
