| Psychopath Registered: Oct. 00  | Anyone interested in sharing their experiences I'm sure that there are both present & past GA workers here. Why not list your Dept. & Station and share your experiences as a member of the "Six Flags Family"; both good and bad. I worked at the park from 80-84, in Show Ops. I worked in the Castle, before it burned. (Any fellow ghouls lurking????) I had tons of fun scaring the Shit out of people(esp. Brooklynites), screwing around with girls (we had a large groupie following),and fighting with our rivals-the Clown & Body Puppet group. It was also the first place where I met Gaayyss, some of whom would make Marco look tame. Aside from the GA Bullshit and low pay, it was a great way to spend the summer & recover from school. Even though I was done working there, I was really devastated by the fire. An absolute tragedy. DOC Buster DR. | Psychopath Registered: Oct. 00 | I worked there the from 92-93 making funnel cakes.Worst job i ever had.My summers those years were completely ruined.I was to young to drive in 92 so i had to take there stupid bus which left at 10 a.m and i worked from Sat-Wed 12-8 and the bus brought us back at 10 and I wouldn't get home till 11 p.m.You get real sick of that park when you had to kill 2 hours every night waiting for the bus.93 wasn't as bad i was finaly old enough to drive and they made me the asst manager of my stand.I tell you people one thing when i go there no matter how hungry i am i never buy any food from them. | Psychopath Registered: Oct. 00 | Sorry, just unburying the post. C'mon, out of 13,000+ members, there are only 2 of us who worked at GA???? And Ash, you're lucky. When I was there, they didn't even offer bus service. We used to kill time in the park by catching people in "the woods". Unfortunately, we never had cameras with us. | Hanger-On Registered: Aug. 01 | I was in Six Flags New England just a few weeks ago. I went on that ride Superman, let me tell you, it was AWESOME. Until 15 minutes after I got off the ride it crtashed into the car in front of it, 35 people were brought to the hospital. I love roller coasters but that was too close for me. I will never ride another again. | ||||
