Did anyone else watch it?
What did you think?
I thought it was ok but she is definitly starting to look a little tired.
And what was up with the daddy song?

I checked it out a few times during the show...
She's an amazing performer, although not my cup o' tea...
And tired?...She's not a kid anymore...
How would any of us hold up w/her schedule?

didnt get a chance to see the hbo special, but i saw her at msg a few weeks ago. no, it wasnt the same type of performance as she gave during the blonde ambition and girlie show tours, and she kinda had an "i dont give a shit" attitude, but she's also in her 40's, and what other type of attitude would you expect from Madonna.
as far as the daddy song, im not sure which song youre talking about, but the concert was taped from detroit, her home town, so she probably sang that for her father, which is something she normally does when she plays in detroit

I guess your right about the schedule and being 40. If were me i would have a f it attitude too.

She sang this song about dad shooting himself in the head and now its all red -- something like that. After she finished she said it wasnt her dad at all.

oh, was that during her "cowboy performance?" yeah, she said it was a new song she wrote, im hoping it was just an attempt at being funny. that song was worse than her remake of american pie.

I dont have HBO but I was at the concert at MSG in July...I was wondering how long was the show on HBO? The concert we saw lasted less than an hour and a half and I was a wee bit annoyed.

why do I say I'm fine when it's obvious I'm not?
why's it so hard to tell you what I want?
why can't you just read my mind?

Hate to admit it, but I watched it too, it was like 90 minutes too, but she did 2, TWO old songs, thats it. I think I knew a total of like 4 of the songs she did, pretty sad if you ask me, but I am not a fan so I guess thats okay then.

I usually like Madonna's music. Her songs have catchy beats and decent lyrics. But, The HBO performance came off as very dry. I was rather disappointed by the production quality of the music, and her vocals weren't up to her usual par.

I like her music for it's production quality, if I see/listen to a concert/performance, I expect the same quality. This show didn't present that same quality. I am disappointed.

And the fame was a plot to try to change me
And what's strange is nobody knew my name 'fore it came

Yeaaahhh... suuurree...
Your sister. Right. ;-)

Madonna lost me with the last 2 albums.
But up until then, I always liked her stuff...
Even went to the Blonde Ambition tour.
I'll have to check out one of the reruns.

She did perform 4 songs, Holiday, La Isla Bonita, Secret and Human Nature (both from Bedtime Stories, so not many people know them)
