There's only one thing wrong comparing religion and science and their validity when compared...

Science and religion aren't the same thing.

If you put a concecrated host under a high power microscope, you're probably not going to see actual human cells. But I believe it IS the Body of Christ, because I think Jesus appears, in that case, in a form where you can't SEE Him. But I believe He IS there.

It's not science. Science is a collection of stuff that can be or has been proved, beyond a doubt, thanks to culminative (sp) knowledge and research. It's stuff that, though it MIGHT be disproved or changed later on (the world being flat, pluto as a planet/sattelite, the smallest particle of matter/energy, quarks, etc.....) it's accepted as FACT right now because it's logical.

Religion, and by that, I mean the beliefs that Catholics hold (God exists, the Body and Blood of Christ, angels, etc.) can't all be proved scientifically. My belief that Jesus left an imprint of his sweaty and bloody face on a shroud is not diminished or bolstered by DNA testing done 2000 years later, you know.

I already believe in God. I don't NEED a picture of Him to believe. And that's what faith is. Not NEEDING to see or touch Him.

When the apostle "Doubting" Thomas finally came face to face with Jesus, Jesus said, "You've seen and believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and still believe."

But God has worked in my life, and I believe in Him. God works in my life even when I'm not looking for Him.

Remember, believing in God or not, there's nothing wrong with being appreciative and greatful for the good things that happen in your life, thanking God or otherwise.

"I'll fly my country's flag outside my home everyday for the rest of my life, even if it's three inches tall and hoisted on a toothpick! GOD BLESS AMERICA!" --My dad

Thank you to all the vets who have helped me to believe.
