| Hanger-On Registered: Feb. 01  | something is not right in all this. it seems to me that we, the american people, are being led down a path created by the media and the government. there are so many things that dont add up. first why didn't the second tower get evacuated after the first plane hit? the faa was watching the second plane the entire time and saw where it was headed. second, how did law enforcement know what car to find right after the bombing that started the suspect frenzy? we went from allegedly not knowing anything to finding out what car the suspects drove and where they parked? and a flight manual in arabic? isnt this seem too damn convienient? what happened to the truck of explosives that was found under the gwb on tues night? it was not mentioned after the initial finding. and the plane is pa being shot down? whats with the whole story of the passengers taking control of the plane and crashing it? i am not saying that we need retribution but we need to know everything. this is too improtant to keep things from us because this effected everyone. i dont want to find out 50 years later that there was a massive coverup like many things in the past. i support our citizens but dont want to be force fed our reactions. just exactly what the hell is going on? | ||||

| Psychopath Registered: Nov. 00 | What wrong path are we being lead down? That these attacks were from some US based para-military organization and not some Middle Eastern group? If the government didnt blame the Oklahoma City bombing on Middle Eastern terrorists, why would they put the blame on them now? And the government hasnt even said who is responsible for the bombings yet. I think now i not the time to question the government's motives. As to finding the cars so quick, its called a passenger manifest. They looked over them and tracked all the passengers and their vehicles down. | ||||

When something like this happens law enforcement (whether it be local police, FBI, CIA, etc.) filters information to the news media. And, then the news media filters the information to us. This is done for good reason. It's a matter of national security. If every detail was on TV the moment it happened we would be totally vulnerable. This very message board is available anywhere on the planet(provided you can access the internet). What's to stop bin laden from logging in here and getting an update on where our government's investigation is? I agree. It is frustrating to have so many unanswered questions and so many things that just don't add up. And, I am by no means suggesting that we just blindly follow our government and allow them to lead us anywhere unchecked. What I a am saying is that we have to give them enough room to conduct a complete and thorough investigation. Then we can question and criticize if need be. This is very similar to the press conferences during desert storm. When reporters asked generals to broadcast military strategy on (inter)nation Television. There is a need for some degree of secrecy. So, what actually happened and who is to blame, we may never know for sure. But, we have to have a little faith. We can't just automatically assume that because it came from the government it must be lie.  Long Live the "Syndication Underground" | ||||

This is normal during panic situations. And if you are suggesting this is a coverup to draw us into a war, then may God have mercy on your soul. The more they get upset about what happened, the more pissed they'll get at the people who did it. The more pissed off people there are, the more people there are that will back a war.quote: I don't think you quite grasp the timeline here. There were EIGHTEEN minutes between the first impact and the second. No one really knew that the first plane was anything but an accident. Hell, they didn't even fully realize what kind of plane it was until long after the second impact. The first report I heard was that it was a small plane. Not a 767. And a lot of people DID start getting out of 2 on their own, without an evacuation order. So calm down, Mel Gibson. You're starting to scare Julia Roberts.  | ||||
