Last night was freaky, too. that was the loudest thunder that I've ever heard.

My grandmother always said, "Why buy the cow, when you can get the sex for free."
I've got the Dungeon Master's Guide. I've got a 12-sided die. I've got Kitty Pryde, and Nightcrawler too, Waiting there for me...Yes I do, I do. I've got posters on the wall. My favorite rock group Kiss. I've got Ace Frehley, I've got Peter Criss, Waiting there for me...Yes I do,I do. In the garage, I feel safe. No one cares about my ways. In the garage, Where I belong...No one hears me sing this song. In the garage, I've got an electric guitar. I play my stupid songs. I write these stupid words...and I love every one... Waiting there for me... Yes I do, I do.

It was an EXTREMELY violent storm that came on very suddenly.

And I'm proud to be an American
Where at least I know I'm free
And I won't forget the men who died
Who gave that right to me
And I gladly stand up next to you
And defend her still today
Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land
God Bless the USA

Not quite. There may have been more that I wasn't awake for. I woke up and thought..."If we are being bombed, I don't want to be awake for it!" and went back to bed.

it wasnt the thunder that bothered people, it was the rumbling in the sky that kept most people up. it was just so eerie to hear rumblings like that so soon after hearing sounds like it that caused so much distruction just 2 days before.

The freakiest thing about the weather happened yesterday (Friday). On the national day of mourning, it was a dreary day in New York and Washington DC, the two Ground Zeroes. Going in to the church in DC, the weather was awful, but when everyone came out, when the mourning was over, the sun shined proudly over the nation's capital again.

In New York, the weather was awful on the day to mourn right up til about after Bush finished his pep rally-type speech to the firemen, cops and emergency workers at the spot of the WTC. After that, the sun shined on the world's greatest city again.

You know, fdblingfrg joked that Osama controls the weather, but it almost seemed that someone DOES control the weather and is trying to give us a sign or something.

Just really eerie, like many other things this past week. I felt I had to pass this feeling I had yesterday along.

For the people that ARE still alive under all that rubble, I hope that some of that rain that fell at least dribbled down to the voids that they are trapped in so that they could get some water, if just a little bit, to drink.

If it did, it might do more harm to them than help, with all the soot and smoke around there. That's probobly like poison.

Sigh, what a feeling of hopelessness. My heart goes out to all those poor people toting pictures around with them.

I hope they find their loved ones, but it just keeps looking more and more grim.

I have a friend who works with a woman whose husband was missing. He turned up in CANADA of all places - they must have triaged some of the burn victims up there for some reason.

These people can all still have hope, these people can still be alive. I hope that the FEMA-sponsored hotline for the pagers/cellular/blackberry type devices works and they find some people.

Thank you to all the brave volunteers who brought us all together as a country,
and thank you to those of you brave soldiers who will fight and have fought for our country.
