I was wondering if the tragedy in NYC is receiving alot of media attention around the nation as it is in the tri-state area.

Considering that this show is syndicated, there must be alot of people throughout the nation who can give a response or opinion.

I assume that the WTC is probably covered in many areas all day long. But in DC, are they focusing more on the Pentagon? In the cleveland, columbus markets, do they focus more on the plane that crashed near Pittsburgh?

How about on the west coast? Are they continuing coverage on the NY and DC events or are they back to regular programing?

I guess my point of this post is to see how people in all corners of the USA are receiving their information. I know and understand that this is indeed a national tragedy, but this is a big nation, with many people who are separated by geography and so forth.

My apoligies if this was already discussed before, I just got back on the board today and felt that I needed some time off from the internet.

Take care everyone. Be safe.

The World Trade Center may be in ruins, but the American spirit and unity will never be "rooned".

My family is in Alabama and apparently (no pun
intended) the coverage is pretty thorough down
there. I don't know if it's 24 hrs like here but
they say that it is all anybody is talking about.
We also have many members on the board from other
parts of the world and they have constant coverage
there too.

I know my family back in Canada says that the coverage there is pretty extensive. Of course they get Seattle network affiliates on their cable there too.

Here in the Philadelphia viewing area, local stations often carry the NY local network affiliates.

We have had 24 hour coverage since Tuesday out here in Northern California. I just turned on our NBC station and they have a kid's movie playing. The CBS and ABC stations are still covering NYC and DC.
Our CBS station had a children's forum this morning to discuss the everything going on, in our country and around the world. I thought it was very smart of them to do this on a Saturday morning when most kids are watching cartoons and parents are nearby to watch the program with them.
